^ Rough idea, fckin cheek! It's a farkin bible.
And i wrote it ;)
^^ as mentioned above and in the guide, keep a close eye on PAS pipes as the subframe comes down.
if it is a driveshaft then the broken shaft will spin and spin and supply no drive. clios dont have an LSD so all the power is given to the wheel with the least grip (ie the broken shaft)
if it is the driveshaft, then you have got off really lucky. The only place that could fail is inboard or outboard CV joint. It's a quickish job and parts are reasonable.
If it's not that (which i dont think it is) then my money is on a new gearbox.
not a priority but no harm i wouldnt of thought.
Gases are put through the hot side so quickly though, that I couldnt really see the benifit if im honest. £160 better spent elsewhere?
for a 20v, Get emerald management. Speak to dave walker, what he doesent know about 20vTs and mapping them isnt worth knowing.
How much did you pay for your K04 upgrade package if you don't mind me asking? where from?
as far as i was aware the 1.8 20vT Vag unit in 225bhp form (TT/S3/Cupra) comes with 440cc fitted?
I was under the impression that the 440cc were good for 300bhp/just over.
if it's actually jumping around and not moving slowly it's one of two things.
1) you have a bad electrical connection (probably at the sensor would be my guess)
2) You have quite a large amount of air in your coolant system (the gauge reads very low when the air passes) - this is very bad...
IMHO specific torques are not important in manifolds. Although there is no need to crank them on too tight as its an ally head and they'll soon stick in with the heat/cool of the engine.
As for the manifold gasket, that is a manufacturer/haynes manual recommendation. Again not essential, many...
fellas. Can I ask about your brake system?
They look like willwood dynalites to me - are they?
Is that a standard size valver disc?
Who did your caliper adapters - did you get them machined yourself from blanks?
LOVE your project.
02 sensors are quite common and it's good to change the upstream as it often results in improved MPG.
Having said that, they are quite pricey.
ABS sensors are not the most reliable things on clios. Get it clipped again and then decide what to do.
I decided to do something about my broken 4th gen colour 20gb ipod.
It would freeze all the time and play one track and then skip all the others that it just failed to find.
Poped it open using the tweezers from a swiss army knife, removed the HDD, removed the shock rubbers on the HDD.
then...
it runs a 20v. Tuning it is as easy and cheap as taking candy from a baby. could easily be running over 250 bhp. Having said that, corrado VR6s are not fast cars in the quarter.
