ALL callipers I have used or seen have built in room for when friction material fails on both pads and then some so you'll be fine with 2mm. 10mm I would be worried about.

Re: Understeer Soltuions? LSD will only help under braking and corner exit. Tyres were at the right pressure, suspension was on full soft? Any videos? Were you trying to stay of the racing line, square the corners off?

Just monitor them, put them to 30psi to begin with so they have the stiffness to begin with then you will definitely have to take them down but by how much is determined by for how long and how you drive.
