I had half the front end off. Ended up changing plugs, leads, coilpack, throttle body and had every electrical connection apart. Which one of those 4 parts I changed sorted it I'm not sure, just had to throw everything on and hope, didnt have time. Its all on the trailer and beer in hand...
I'll be down as well, the cup is back in the game . If anyone's wanting a spin out then come over, looks like I'm going down myself so should have a free seat.
Ta for the hand while comp testing my thing, your car looked good from a distance, pity I was trying to fix my thing all night and never got a chance to speak to most.
Yeah same mate, bad missfire after 20 mins. I comp tested it last night so at least the engines healthy (ish) , away to work...
Its a lifeline one, it has developed some slight play (which is common i'v heard) the same as my old cheap copy one did and that's why I bought an expensive one so I would recommend the cheapo one for that reason.
This is the cheapo one, they come up on eBay sometimes for circa £60 instead of...
Re: sonny172cup "track racer project"
You can just about see them in this poor quality pic, I have used the square plates you have for the lap belts and the smaller 'flat bar' type for the crutch straps. They have all been welded internally with holes cut in the floor.
Just remember you sharing a car due to one breaking.
Think i'v sussed it now, should be alright as long as there ain't 104 ph1 flamers about and drivers with central belt accent ;)
Don't worry, I'm 6'2" with long legs and I have a omp boss, 50mm spacer and then a snap off boss and its no problem. Loads of front to back adjustment.
Mine is rattling just now though, the outer reverse lock sleeve that goes round the main stick buzzes, does my napper in sometimes. A thin...
Re: sonny172cup "track racer project"
Looking good Sonny, paint job looks alright for a paint brush. Did the brush strokes flatten out? Re harness plates, you can put a pop rivet into them so there removable and can also be undone by one person.
Haha, it means I have to put it all back again as I hate driving a stripped car on the road..... Infact arsed with that its quick enough to match your stripped out thing Fraser, might take out the tool kit, oil and one of 2 floor carpets I have in there though.
Special bucket ye see ;)
Done my prep tonight as well. New gbox oil, spigot rings, fixed misfire (hopefully) pressures set, raised exhaust on saging bracket, sealed mid pipe, needs a bucket thrown over it, seats out (maybe) and thrown on the trailer tomorrow. YALDY
Aye noticed you had them off, don't come complaining to me when you have no right hand for a ham shank haha. Clio's aren't the worst for it though.
Just new standard dampers with sportlines, RARB and a s**t load of camber.
They might not be great for the cars you have driven but comparing them to those tyres is apples to oranges.
RS-R's are a -R tyre and the other's are R compound. RS-R's costs circa £70 for Clio fitment and double that and more for the types you have said.
I personally haven't had mine squeel...
Another shout for RS-R's here, IMO why pay the premuim for a brand name when you get the same tyre and better all round tyre than the Toyo for cheaper.
It might be as part of that kit because its superseded but the old u-clips work just fine.
For anything Motorsport I wouldn't trust none of them clips/shims anyway and just get them lock wired in.
