Lol at the answer again, no need to go so in depth. I understand that energy doesn't disappear but is transformed into other energy, noise, heat etc and Newton's first law of every force has an equal and opposing force da da da da DA.
The Escort v Clio example.

Lol at that answer, nothing to do with power. Try your 300mm setup and you'll realise it is overkill for a one ton car. Cossy = heavy car. Clio = light car, four pots don't put as much heat into the disk for a start as you have to brake lighter for the same effect, hence I think 280mm with four...
Aye it feels a lot worse inside the car, my car was never straight through the first 3 corners, better tyres needed. You got any footage from chasing me that session?
Oh I know but what I'm saying is 280mm with good pads would be fine IMO, its a Clio not an escos or sierra remember. 300mm for show 280mm if that is all that can be done.
Ally welds are wide though?
Looks good that Dan for a first attempt, hardly any undercut which is hard to achieve. Your ripples could be more uniformed but I would be happy. Was that tig you used or oxy acetylene?
Weld on or tap and lock nut a fitting in both require removing the sump to be done right so I would go with weld on personally. Make sure that the drain collector is right for your turbo's central block.
edit: depending on your boss you have on already you could get a 'x' over from an10 to yours.
There was a set of really nice brakes on pistonheads motorsport parts that were for 17" wheels, 330mm iirc and they weren't selling so bargains could be had.
In one word....NO. You will never get 300mm disks under 15" wheels with these caliper's same issue as your having with the angled part of the wheel you talk of. Some more room could be made by grinding the edge of the caliper, they are huge caliper's with plenty of meat left which would mean...
Yeah fair enough on that mate, cheap eBay bolts will expand more than the housing but surely you have at least 10.9's in there Dan?
Studs are 90% of the time a higher grade metal than your average bolt cost wise so that was my thinking plus it will be easier to fit a turbo and gasket if you...
Eventually got one video uploaded.
One of the later sessions in the day when it dried up, the car was holding its own against Frazjam's & Michael Foz's fairly sorted stripped out ph1's with coilovers, upgraded brakes and 438's in Michaels case against my thing which is essentially a road car...
Couple of rubbish small videos from my Mate at track side. Longer videos to follow.

Just about caught the brake pad falling out, see the tyre smoke from me throwing it in with the handbrake on and pumping the brakes lol.

Going to get the headlights setup soon so i'll get them to chuck it on the brake machine to see if anything's not right, cant see it tbh. I just think I was pushing too hard for the setup I had although James has run them for 40 minute races :S
I probably wont be down for that track night, just...
haha I haven't looked under my car yet from going through the gravel.
I have you on video leaving half the chicane at the hairpin, you have just found the other half.
I hope that's sarcasm haha.
Yeah not ideal, they are still in one piece and the rough shape they came, just a little lip gone from them. TD will be giving me more if they get worse tbh, they are meant to be Motorsport wheels FFS.
Removed my front pads for a look today, seem okay tbh. Spigot ring was a but worse for wear, it has melted to the spacer.
Tyres not looking the best, fair but of feathering just in from the outer edges.
Cheers James for the imbed.
Im too cheap to throw away a set of new pads, these still have loads of life left, a little crumbling won't hurt anyone....hopefully. Its cool I'm not wanting mental brakes on this thing anyway, there's already enough noise with the exhaust fitted, french interior...
Hopefully this works

edit: FAIL, is there an app for imbedding videos? Too lazy to type it out.
Nope brakes lovely.
Me neither tbh, my only idea is a different master cylinder with different sized pistons proportioning the force, it brakes perfect even in the wet. I'm uploading a video just now, you will see its fine. It has a better feeling to the pedal since fitting the brembos but...
This thread prompted me to try an 15" OZ f1 on my 197/225 brembos with 280mm standard disks.
Poor picture but they will work with 30mm spacers.
Same setup with 16" standard 5 spokes.
You need 15mm spacers to work.
Same setup with 16" et40 TD pro race 1's.
You need 10mm spacers to...
