Yeah someone suggested that to me - but madness. It'd get smashed off on track and you'd dump your oil everywhere
Use a sandwich plate or drill the sump and weld a boss in for a temp sensor
I don't see any reason why you couldn't use the sandwich plate for the sensors and then a take-off...
Yeah sorry I was mostly asleep when I wrote that reply
Yeah the car you posted a pice of is iceberg silver, mine says "mon" and is mondial blue
No idea why your says "dyna" and is racing blue - unless it's short for a french word or they had a different word for racing blue paint
Mine failed for the same thing
As Fred said find the compensator - it's an awful design the arm is just loose on it. I sprayed mine with WD40 - and moved the arm up and down for 5 minutes to make sure it was all nice and free'd up. Then I put a thick cable tie through the arm up to the chassis...
Ahhhh right ok - that's per side and I didn't realise they were huge brembo 300mm
In that case you're right that is pretty good competition for the AP racing kit
I'll stick to the £640 wilwood setup then because I don't really need that amount of stopping power and need to keep 15's
OK cheers guys
So it's around £440 for 195's or £520 for 205's and you basically get a very marginal performance increase and a bit more life from 205's
I might just go for 205's cos I kinda like how chunky they look on the wheels too lol
Yeah I suppose it is still £140 cheaper than a wilwood kit. I don't think you can really compare it to a £2k setup that uses discs and rotors that are bigger though. Surely with 4 pots and 300mm discs it's more comparable to the wilwood setup?
I'd be very interested if there was a setup that...
Can you just clarify what this kit would give you?
Twingo R2 calipers - are they AP Racing 4 pots? Or same as the 197/200?
Then you'd get Twingo R2 discs and some adaptor brackets for the calipers and it all bolts straight onto a Clio 172?
If the discs are 300mm though will they fit under 15"...
I reckon an hour and a half to get to LFE - and we need to do a quick stop in at Newark.
What about this :-
7.30am leave mcdonalds opposite Pennels in Lincoln?
7.45 - 8am stop at Friendly Farmer in Newark to pick locals up and any stragglers from Lincoln can catch up.
Leave 8am - head...
The price seems to be quite a bit more for 205's - extra £19 per corner for R888's - so I'm kinda leaning towards saving £80 and getting 195's
But if you look at the Dunlop DZ03 tech list - they actually say for a 6.5" rim you should be running 205's
Hrmmm
I've run 205/50/15's on my car since I got the 2118's - quite a few people recommended the extra width and apart from a little tiny bit of scrubbing on the inner plastic arches at the back (which needs binning anyway) - had no problems
Question is now I'm gonna be ordering some FZ-201's or...
Why the hell do people still keep fitting decats to clios?
The 182 cat is a 200 cell - the same as a sports cat.
I have a 200 cell sports cat on my car running 200bhp
It doesn't gain you any power.
</ rant>
And yeah just replace the lambda - they're not even expensive
OK - sounds like if we all meet at the mcdonalds just off newark roundabout, then head down tot he Friendly Farmer at newark, then straight down the A46 to LFE - should be good
I'll work some times out when we know how many people are going from this way :)
I can't wait
What's the plan lads?
Are we going the long way and meeting at woodall with the yorkshire lot - or are we heading down to Leicester Forest East services and meeting yorkshire/east mids lot?
Be good to get a big convoy on the go :D
There's a few of us going from Lincoln - me and James and I think Batesey
We'll probably drive over together - either to woodall or LFE and meet up with you lot :D
If all the above fails - try Matt at Tour-De-Force.
He does a lot of upgrade packages for the 200 cup racers and usually has a fair few spare bits kicking around
Went to buy some pads on eBay (cheap £30 things) and instead found a pair of rear calipers off a 70k 172 ph2, with part worn pads - for £26 delivered!!!
That'll do me - should be back on the road by next weekend :D
Not worth rebuilding them with that sort of second hand prices lol
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Have you just cut the whole fog light area out?
I'm planning on doing that with mine this week because I can't be bothered trying to find cup racer air ducts lol
Oh wow - I was expecting longer than that
I've got the Canon 70-200 f2.8 but not had a chance to try it at an air show yet. I'll have to get to one soon :)
Thanks
Re: Boosted BlackGold Project - F4rT content.
Yeah fair play mate - that's exactly how i've felt a bit recently
Love mine to bits but having a full blown stripped out clio as your only car gets a bit annoying
Off to buy a 2.5 v6 TDi passat estate in a few months - retire the clio to being...
Re: A few changes to the RS2'd Trophy
Hahaha I bought a new lens last month specifically for taking pics mate
We'll have to get a bit of a Lincoln drive out organised :D
Batesey - fancy getting a thread up?
Re: Boosted BlackGold Project - F4rT content.
I was about to PM you and ask why you broke the white one - then saw this
Good choice! LOL
I love my ITB's but given the money back I'd boost the Clio instead.
It always confuses me why people think the company making REAL race car exhausts makes them better
They didn't make the Clio cup race car exhausts - and any research they've done on power delivery for other cars has no benefit whatsoever to a clio
