Hahah sorry guys
He did it all himself - made a little rig for the whole cutter that mounted to the original bolt holes so the hole was cut in the same place on both
Then machined the plates up and welded them in
He's done them on a few 106's now
This is what Stu did with his top mounts on his 106 - utterly insane, they look factory
Designed and fabricated from scratch to give extra castor and loads of camber adjustment
James - if you're looking to cut out your strut tops to run different mounts have you spoken to Stu (the lad with the 106 at TDF) - he's a s**t hot fabricator/welder and he's done that exact thing to his 106. As your car is down there all the time I'd say he's the man to help you on that :)
I think it has - there as a progress blog on here when I first joined up and the lad had fitted the full cup suspension to it. Or at least he was doing.
Do you fancy PM'ing me how I'd get hold of a set? I'm willing to pay lol
Subscribed - this looks epic
I've been trying to find the brake cooling ducts for ages! lol you lucky git
I'm also kinda wishing I'd gone for the full blown cup racer suspension too
I'm a big lad - tried them all in Demon Tweeks and even the GT width imola's seemed a bit tight
Got Bimarco Futura's in the end and they are REALLY comfy. Can't recommend them enough - and they're half the price of other buckets
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Out of interest James, what are you doing with your old coilovers? ;)

Shocked at demon tweaks they've always been really good with me :(
Gutted for your luck mate. Surely it's got to get better soon? *fingers crossed*
That's what I worried dan. Same as 106 Gti ones
I guess if I can remove the seal. Clean it up and wind the piston back it wouldn't be too bad. But if the piston has to come out I might not bother
Last year I noticed my passenger rear caliper outer dust seal had a split in it - stupidly I just left it because it seemed to be ok
But I just checked the pads after Donington and the passenger rears are completely down to metal - which makes me think the caliper is probably stuck out
I've...
There's a key on the right hand side of the keyboard - just below the delete key.
It adds a new line after a full stop - also known as a paragraph.
It makes reading things a lot easier.
Group N - 55mm Bore - Decat 63mm - dB Idle - 78DB - 4.5K RPM - 94Db
That's from there website - supposed to be 78db idle and 94db at 4.5K rpm
Which is critical because track tests are taken at 3/4 revs
In reality mine was 101db at 4.5k!
We also tested it inside the car when it was stripped out...
They're too loud
Driving back from Wales on the motorway I ended up with ringing in my ears for 3 fecking days afterwards
Stupid exhausts and no idea how K-Tec say they're only 95db
My car is fully stripped but still
I've had a middle silencer fitted to mine which has dropped it to 92db...
LMFAO - All the people who say it's easy, nothing, eat it no problem - are the ones that have never tried
It's a monster - finished it once, got the certificate, but never ever ever ever ever doing it again
Fair play for trying!
It's an insanely good lens for the money. I eventually upgraded to the 50mm f1.4 but to be honest for the extra £300... I'm not entirely sure it's worth it lol
Yeah agree fully - way too soft for track use
I wish these threads had been about a year ago and saved myself £800+ *sigh*
I've decided to just keep using mine for summer as it's still a LOT of fun for a weekend thrash to the seaside - then I'm gonna send them off to be refurbed in...
Lewis' set every single day of the week
I'd always have Jenveys over AT stuff.
Lewis' engine and bodies set is the cheapest way to 200bhp+ without a shadow of a doubt - absolute bargain
Few of my shots from Saturday
Sold my 70-200 f4/L and bought a 70-200 f2.8/L last week - first time I've used it and my god it's stunning. Just pin sharp all the time and focus is sooo fast
Anyhoo..
Firstly tried some "panning through people" type shots like I've seen a few on here do...
