It's mother's day so no pass out as looking after the kids so wife can chill.
Noisy diff bearings on the Clio that needs to last for the sprint next Sunday so im not driving it much.
AP 3307 calipers, 25mm thick discs, don't know what offset they are though.
Made them fit under Prorace 1.2 15" wheels without spacers although I've had to use a stud conversion for extra length as the alloy bells are thicker than a standard discs so standard bolts weren't long enough.
Has anyone used Pro-cut brake skimming to sort their warped discs out?
just chucked some 2nd hand 300mm rotors with alloy bells on the clio and it's now got brake judder warped discs. Yes I could take them off and get them skimmed but it would be good to get them true'd on the car and then it...
Red calipers won't make it go any faster.
Dealer would charge you loads for red calipers, it really would be easier to do it yourself if you are that fussed.
Get more than that by breaking it.
Stuff like wheels, lights, trims, undamaged engine parts etc.
Hes taking the piss and will probably break it himself
I've got some AP calipers with 300 mm rotors and alloy bells under my 15" wheels
just need some new hoses to be made up tomorrow and to final fit everything.
Anybody got the length of the front flexy hoses, and also what fitting do I need from the flexy to the metal pipe?
Need to get some made up tomorrow to suit AP calipers.
cheers
Paul
Noticed mine are a bit like that too, had issues with brake fade at Oulton last November using yellowstuff pads and it's probably the reason.
About to fit some AP 4 pots, 300mm rotors with alloy bells. Should stop then!
No not yet, I will see how my finances are after Wigan (and how much I get my arse kicked by), as I've bought another 172 for spares so need to break that and sell some wheels to get some cash back in the kitty.
i have to change my gearbox regardless as it now sounds like a straight cut one so...
New rear discs and pads, checked over the calipers, fitted new rear arb, tried to source new longer bolts to fit my AP 4 pots on the front but having to order them off the net. Also found what the exhaust was buzzing on, slight adjustment required.
Quite a productive day really as I rarely...
Yes when it was in limp mode, but would go off if I turned the ignition off then on again, then it would drive alright for a bit with just the engine light on before dropping into limp mode again.
all lights gone off since I cleaned it
Typo- fat fingers on mobile with autospell thingy
I meant to say yeah they will all fit, hub centres all the same on genuine wheels, it's only aftermarket wheels that have different hub centres and need spigot rings
Ive competed against Roger Hicks in FLk 1T in the past, the plate has been on a few of his different escorts over the years. That bloke just loves to drift! Heard he was going well if it wasn't for his excursion into the bails.
Clio looks tidy too.
still a but unsure of the millington proton...
