No problem with the gripper, I had a selector fork end break off and jam the box up so it had to be rebuilt and have a few bits replaced. It had only done 500 miles but s**t happens.
There are so many cups about now doing sprints and hill climbs etc I wanted mine to look a bit different so its...
Next Sprint is Wigan on September 7th
Im not allowed to use 'track tyres' for sprints and hillclimbs, only allowed to use 'road tyres'. (MSA Blue book tyre list 1A)
Yeah that's mine, shame you took the photos on its bad side (crushed sill, creased rear panel - it was worse than that until my mate got his portapower on it)
First time ive ever done an autosolo so 3rd was pretty good. As Johnny said I normally do sprints and hillclimbs. Could have done with...
It's only the Prescott hillclimb videos and the most recent 3 sisters video that I have the gripper diff and 13/60 cwp fitted. All the others it's just a standard gearbox and no LSD.
Here's mine on the limiter (7400) in 1st gear at Prescott hillclimb to see how short it is.

Say goodbye to your 1st gear with that, I wouldn't want to go much shorter than the 13/60 I fitted and I'm not running very much power. My engine is old and tired at 172k miles and only 131bhp at the wheels and you can see from the video it's still quite short 1st gear.
I really enjoy doing Wigan sprints, I managed to get 1st in class last weekend, 0.29secs off the class record.
I always used ao48r and 21r when I was rallying (205's), never tried r888 and won't be allowed on the Clio as I'm not allowed to use 'Track' type tyres.
I definitely recommend the...
Koni dampers, eibach springs, whiteline arb. Had a bit of understeer on that run as it's a kart track so got oil on it and I was using road tyres (Yokohama AD08 not AD08-r).Got to push the car hard round there to get a good time.Engine standard, k+N panel filter, still got a cat (as the rules)...
Don't need to get a Sadev just yet then, just get a Gripper diff and 13/60 CWP, it makes one hell of a difference. I fitted one to mine last month for Sprints and Hillclimbs and its so much better!

Re: Peugeot 306 estate paint refresh
Certainly helped that 406.
Got a vectra that you can practice on if you like.
I would say the Clio needs to be done but that requires more than a polish! Dents need pulling and a respray would be the only way!
