Pounds per mile sprints and hillclimbs are very expensive. I did 2 championships last year and enjoyed it but I've ticked that box and it's time to move on to something else.

Most are universal. They are only car specific in that some have shorter shoulder straps for fitment into westfields / caterhams etc. In general the race / rally type ones are pretty much all the same. There were some differences for Hans device suitable ones, that had a 2 inch shoulder strap...

I used yokohama s drives in the wet, they seemed alright

Hotish, but I had so little grip, Russell and Keith were 0.5 secs quicker than me running in 1b. I was having to lift off in places where the AD08 would be gripping. The tyres I tried were just too soft and I was destroying them. The rain arrived before I could try my other yokos

Results on Longton website. I was over 1.5 secs slower than what I did last year, with a stripped out car and what I thought would be better tyres. Then it rained. Disappointed.

Longton and district motor club sprint, Three sisters kart track near Wigan. Practice start from 10am, everybody gets 2 runs, then it's onto the timed runs and they try to give us as many as possible during the day.

I know plenty of people that have tried and failed to get the original ad08 so I doubt you will get new ones of those but the odd part worn set pops up now and again. I have also used the yokohama s drives last year and they were alright

I have used left foot breaking a few times when doing sprints and times always showed I was faster when not doing it even though it felt neater and smoother when left foot breaking. I tend not to bother anymore.
