basically you should put the grease everywhere components might rub against each other. not doing it may cause squeaking or even reduced life span
check this thread to see the problem I had with the lower arm bushes and how to get it done

I do have two pics with one of the bush that came out, but since I'm not at home right now I can't post the pic with the job done. you just have to make or order some other sleeves (or reposition them if things aren't as bad as in my case) and weld them on the arm in 5 or 6 spots as this will be...

this is the place I've ordered mine. it is a company which sells tyres all over europe, and I think you guys might just get lucky. you can also give them a call, they are spot on
I have the k-tec ones, not fitted them yet but they really do look like good stuff. they're a bit more expensive than the AST's and require 3 holes to be mounted
be careful with the wishbone bushes! they started to squeak and I thought "oh well I expected this" but it turned out that the outer sleeves on 2 bushes came out and were rubbing against the subframe mountings..
this lead to some damage to the mountings but I managed to make some other custom...
well I may be lucky and get them quickly, I'm not from the uk and I think I will receive them soon enough.. I can get them at 100 per corner, the exalto's are about 130 quid in my country
BIG dilema for me:
I had an accident :( and the left front side of the car is wrecked.. anyway, as the wheel on that side is damaged (that includes the tyre also) I have to buy another 2 rubbers for the front as the old ones were like 50% gone, the rears are still ok.
so for now I have PE2's on...
I saw two guys having the k-tec uprated ones fitted (plus the dogbone poly thing) and they both were happy with the result. the downside to this is some extra vibration in the car at idle speeds, but hey, I don't care since I have the k-tec ones waiting to be fitted :D. go for the dog bone poly...
I wanted the bmc a while ago, but some lads claim that it caused power drops and that put me of it for the moment. but they do look good and sound nice. maybe you should get a remap and a RR after to see the results.
I think the best noise comes from the milltek with the center silencer removed. Quality wise the yozza should be on top. also the milltek looks nice, but there are some guys complaining about snapped welds but milltek will replace the damaged sections no problem at all. I have the muilltek now...
I received the k-tec ones today, they look like quality stuff, unfortunately I'll have to wait another month to fit them since the car is still damaged after an accident :(
will keep you posted as soon as I get them on. I am not worried about the drill stuff, as long as the area will be...
the cup packed cars also have the cup chassis which should be different from the normal one (stiffer maybe). the suspension part can be done quite easy if you have the money to buy springs, shocks and the hubs. lower ball joint mounting holes are 13 mm diameter instead of 10 mm (non cup) if I...
I got a 182 ff, with an unstable idle. also you can see the engine shaking a little bit non-constantly; you can also feel the car vibrate when sitting inside. the shaking is gone once the revs build up. how can you sort this? the throttle body has been cleaned too
my 182 suffered an accident so I will certainly need the subframe and both lower arms.. speaking of that can anyone give me the part no for the 182 subframe and maybe a price?.. oh, and is it identical to the 172 subframe?
I am going to order a new subframe in about a month and will tell you guys the price and hole diameters.. worth mentioning that I have the powerflex arm bushes, and unfortunately the outer sleeves supplied came out of the arm a little bit and made some grooves in the subfame mountings..
so if...
I am having a little issue here..
just went today and picked up my 182 front cup shocks from the dealer and on the box it says 8200342845 which is fine (as this is the correct part no.) and the space between the holes is 60 mm-which is fine also but on the shocks is punched 8200681109 which if I...
ordered from k-tec the gr N engine mounts, dogbone poly bush set, solid suspension mounts and the gr N clutch kit, they should arrive in about a week, I'll keep you posted of how the car feels
nick, how are the engine mounts? are they ok for daily use or too harsh? thx
I emailed milltek and gave them the production number and after a while they said the batch in question was ok so "it should be happy driving" :)
let's hope I'm one of the lucky ones
After some research I decided to go for the helix organic clutch kit.
The only place I could find this kit so far is yozzasport, but I am still waiting for replies to some mails I've sent regarding payment.
It's more complicated for me to order since I'm not from the UK.
How about the gr. N...
received e-mail from powerflex now. I will post the data here in case someone needs it some time.
outer diameter:45,1 mm
inner diameter: 42,2 mm
length:23,1 mm
these are the poly bush set for the lower arms. one of the outer sleeves came out recently and it's obvious that it suffered some damage(maybe the arm suffered to I don't know). I want to make a custom replacement sleeve, although powerflex said they will send me replacements, I need the car...
is there some description on how the matched inlets are made? I don't think anybody does this job in my country, so maybe a detailled description of the process will help me find someone who could carry this operation for me
I fitted my milltek 5 days ago and if the back weld problem won't occur (as some guys related) i will be very pleased with it as it sounds just the way I want it to and looks ace too.
yozza exhaust maybe too loud for everyday driving, although I'd try one for a quick blast :)
