Cool, will have to start looking!
Pretty much yeah :o Though in my defence I did my best in half an hour lol x
Needs red wheels :o
S2000 sold, and it was Mikes, now mine lol
Oh Hai.
Yes, Dan and I did it, and with work I have no doubt we could have made it a lot better than it was - power wise it was good, it made 193bhp on RS Tunings rollers(on a 145k old engine, still had the cat in), but due to it using the MAP sensor as primary reading, it made the throttle...
I do have a ph1 head on my work bench, the valves are genuine Renault and are only 35,000 miles old, but has substained a bit of damage from a bit of piston that broke off (Only on the 1 section you can see here, the rest of the head is ok)
IF Fred can do something with that mate...
LOL!
To answer everyones comments, I will be doing the wheels red when someone is noce enough to lend me some wheels to leave mine standing on.. (Cough hint cough)
I am also thinking of swapping the front plate for a normal sized but recessed into the bumper slot - I think that would...
I finally had a lunch break today, so thought i'd take advantage and give the Clio it's first clean in about 8 months.
It had developed a pretty impressive layer of dirt and dust over it (Protects the paint, see).
Now all the detailers please look away now, as I literally just sprayed...
Yours is a Mk2 Ph2 Clio, engine code will be F4R 736
Check all the rocker cover bolts are tight - have been a few where they have come loose and oil pushes it's way up the threads, and as Mick has said the VVt solenoid seal can leak - thats the thing on the left with the plug on top by the...
I use genuine, only because the cost difference between genuine and aftermarket service bits are f**k all, plus I get discount so it makes the difference even less.
Plus once you have cut apart a few factor oil filters and genuine ones, and see the difference, i'm sure you would use genuine...
Claire's sister works at the Nation Botanic Gardens in Wales, and we stopped in for lunch yesterday, and they had some sort of classic meet on, so I grabbed a few pictures
Check who did the belt - the f4r engine is very sensitive to timing, and even Renault get it wrong, so you have to be very careful who you choose for belt changes. Alot of places will advertise a belt change, and will have literally changed the belt, without using any of the correct locking...
I had that with my first ph1, Renault sent me 2 wrong rod ends, I ended up having to measure the depth and width oc the thread on the old one before they got me the right one
Re: Grey With Trinkets, Russ' 29th RS Clio
Lol! I love it, such fantastic roads, was so tempted to sneak out for an early morning drive in Claires meg 225 while we were there lol
Cheers dude, it's getting there slowly, though I keep adding to tye to do list lol
Re: Grey With Trinkets, Russ' 29th RS Clio
I'm looking forward to our outing in welshland once yours is done :D
Just need to get the wheels red before Combe, I really do miss the red
Re: Grey With Trinkets, Russ' 29th RS Clio
I have been thinking about that mate, having to get the interior properly covered so as not to get over spray, making sure the coving is equal and no runs - I think i'll just badger Sam into doing it for me lol (PS, Audi collection ;) )
