The convertable shell couldn't acommodate the 4wd system and still retain the rear passenger space, boot space and weight/mpg figures VW wanted mate, plus the production costs of modifying the shell would have stuck the price up even more
I actually like the roof - it is very high quality and is a perfect fit, though I still think it's 10k too expensive.
Edit for Roy, the convertable is FWD only, the normal one is 4WD

If they are over the age id not use them - there is a date on them for a reason imo and I'd not like to be driving hard on them - especially when they get hot and have another 5+ psi in them

Sportlines do give a drop of around 30mm need a little while to settle
Nothing wrong with the cooksports as I have heard good things, I just haven't experienced them yet so I can't comment.
Sportlines I have had as well as prolines and rate them highly from experience.
Sportlines will drop around 30-35mm , very good springs and progressively wound so you get a decent ride and an improvement in handling.

Bear in mind there are different makes that fit and if a car has had a clutch change then different manufacturers can make it feel different, as can clutch cables depending on age.
IMO only use a valeo clutch
