Hi mate yes had this problem a fair bit, most of the time its on sigma alarms, for some reason the alarm computer loses its head, the only way to sort this out is to replace the alarm computer at a cost of around 90.00.

The sony system is really easy to fit, the adapter is just as easy to fit to(you dont have to remove the top part of the dash), took me all of 15 mins to do, the speakers are easy to do to, just unclip the speaker grill unscreww the old ones, fit new connecters to the wires and away you go.

About 5 months

The rattle on the sunroofs is a pain, you can have it fixed but most of the time it just comes back again.:@

I Have been doing MOTs on cars for 10 years now, 3 years on Renault, must say that renos are usually pretty good when it comes to mot time, common things I find are Brake hoses split, Siezed brake valves, defective brakes(badly pitted discs, rear brakes leaking fluid), broken road springs...

Dont cut any wires , you may bugger up the UCH (control unit for all ya bits and peices, lights/wipers etc). Also the UCH will have a fault stored in it to. A BIG NO NO.

I use two small posidrive screwdrivers to get the radios out on Renos, they fit in the holes perfect.

I have fitted the genuine reno adapter for my cdx mp70 system, works great, I can get them but they aint cheap mine was 80 sheets , they normally cost 100. It does the display and sat control.

The oil is due to a leaky rocker box gasket, hence the oil around the plugs, as to plug socket size its a 16 mm deep socket. :)
