Ktec used to supply mapped standard ecu's to run there low pressure turbo kitted cars.
From what I have read on here they never used to be the best form of management for boosted clios.
Awesome car, would love one of these. Only ever driven one (bit of a ruff example tbh) but it was such a fun car an a right hoot.
Always loved the Saxo/106 chassis, an the tu engine is such a great power plant in my opinion.
Tbh I do like the alpine H/U's, the main thing that attracted me to the kenwood was the fact I can have a orange/red backlight to match the clio :o I'm going to pop down to me local ICE shop an have a look first hand.
Yeah thats what I want to do ideally.
Funnily enough back when me an me mates were 15-16 an prank calling was hilarious we were forever ringing numbers out auto traders an asking daft questions about cars. We once rang for a Cossie an asked the geezer if it would make a good get away car an first thing he said is "its more then...
The focus is known to be heavy on juice, that five cylinder lump has a drinking problem for sure lol. But the t5 is fairly solid powerplant, in all my time at Volvo I only removed one cylinder head on a t5!
But he's already said insurance is a problem with the st. The focus are a great car, really are a nice place to be as already said an the Volvo power plant is so smooth
I like those fiestas really put together well an that 2.0 duratec engine seems quite tuneable. It was between st an 172 for me but the 172 just pulled me in an its lead to 5 years or Clio ownership haha. Fiesta is a great car though, supposed to be great on 16" wheels?
That's the idea, I'm gonna cut a section in the glovebox and thread it through a rubber grommet so it looks tidy.
One thing I hate is a cluttered car haha
Similar to the effect of running wider bars on me mtb, wider bars give greater stability downhill an speed especially but your more effected by the ruff stuff.
But narrower bars are better for the twisty and tight slower sections.
I agree with chip there, that's spacer is rather large an I would certainly consider a hubcentric even though they are more expensive you can put a price on safety.
What sort of extra strain/load will these put on the hub/wheel bearing? That's one thing that had always put me off spacers.
Its like when your a teenager an you mum an Dad give you advice or tell you not to do something, you just do it.
Maybe if we told him to go for the Cooper an sell the 182 it may have a reverse effect?
Yeah don't go for the vxr, my friend an work has a 59plate that's had a gearbox so far, a steering column, coolant hoses an power steering pipes.
They really are w**k an tbh to me they just look 'chav'.
Right the missus has brought me a new iPod nano for Christmas.
It has the new style apple connector on. I have seen a stereo I would like http://www.bassjunkies.com/car-audio-dab/car-stereos/cd-mp3-wma-players/kenwood-kdc-6051u, now will this be compatible with my iPod?
Is it just a case of...
Totally agree there, I went from a fairly well tuned an put together Ph2 172 to a 197 and as much as the 197 was a great car especially in the twisties it was a side step for sure.
I'm now back in 182 trophy due to the fact the running costs an the depreciation of the 197 just didn't warrant...
