Its the inner toothed pulley I'm on about mike, a colleague mentioned one of these pullers. Never had a problem with an aux bottom pulley, usually a few taps with Mac tools dead blow plastic hammer shocks them off.
Do you use one you could recommend?
Have you got the Sachs dampers?
The price of a refurb will still work out cheaper no doubt then a 'decent' set of coilovers.
As said either a set of eibachs then or some mark fish springs.
That could of been dangerous if something managed to trigger it lol. As for the tooth brush, maybe previous owner used it to clean the crime scene haha
I ran the 8.5mm magnecor an never had a problem.
Nick (from the old hill power) always to recommend them. He always said the standard leads were a bit naff, he seemed to think the fact they were bunched together in that sleeve they would be more likely to cause interference with each other.
Sorry my bad, just seen my last post on about the abs Speedo pick up an realised its a cup haha.
Yeah it's be sensor no doubt but check the wiring too, I had a problem with it chaffing on driveshaft but as said its an easy fix.
Sweet, tbh I could only find a place on ebay that had them but now I know you stock them I'll hopefully have one come spring time (talk the missus into an early birthday present haha).
I've already got a janspeed decat that I haven't fitted so thats all good.
I found half an ounce of weed in my first car (1.1 saxo) years ago just stuffed under the gearstick gaiter! Didn't suprise me at all looking back at where I brought the car from.
Found loads of good stuff in cars that got traded in at the garage when I've been pdi checking them.
I like the piper exhausts, never fitted a clio one but fitted piper manifolds an full systems to loads of saxo's an 106's an they always fit really well.
Really good quality product from past experience an all the ones I have fitted have given a nice purposful raspy tone, not to boomy!
On my old ph2 172 (non cup) there was a sensor in the gearbox an I had a similar problem the speedo would dance around an mpg would under read, turned out to be the speedo sensor wiring chafing on the driveshaft!
On the cups I'm pretty sure it obtains its speed signal from one the abs system...
I've done a few cambelt changes on clio sports now, I'm a volvo technican an have all the genuine renault timing tools I obtained from renault myself.
But just a quick question really to see what you guys use to free off stubborn crankshaft pulleys, now when I changed the belt on my first 172...
plugging it in seems to be the answer to all the threads, if only being a mechanic was that easy. Plug it in an as if by magic the computer tells me what's up! If only.
nah afraid not mate, I always do me own as I have access to equipment. Good luck with getting it all sorted.
Thing is with these clios most are other 10 years old now so bushes an balljoints are all getting tired. First thing I've done on all of mine is a good old refresh an alignment, helps...
Nevermind then, sounds like the fact one is worn differently could be the cause.
Just swap them back an see if that sorts it, you wouldn't notice it on the rear.
I'd be looking more towards the clutch tbh (pretty sure there hydraulic) so possible slave cyclinder/master cyclinder failure. I've had it on a megane very similar issue an it was caused by a little diaphram on the clutch pipe leaking giving me no clutch effectively, when you try an put it into...
