Just take the head off it with a drill, try an remove it afterwards with mole grips if you want. The retaining bolt isn't that important anyway, or hammer an punch
I prefer the gt tbh, the glanza v looks great from the front but like a typical take away delivery from the rear ;)
As said though I'd be going v8 personally haha
Thats the route I'm hoping to go for tbh. I polybushed my old 172 an it really refreshed the drive tbh. I'm currently collecting parts for the refresh, so far I've got fresh track rod ends, inner track rods lower balljoints then I'm going to go for the pure topmounts I think an MF springs then...
I've currently whipped me dampers off for the winter an running standard 182 stuff, also sending dampers of to cornering force soon for refurb an powder coat. But when there back I'm going to invest in some MF springs I think, how do they feel on road? Much of a difference handling wise?
Special edition increaed wheel base trophy ;)
Looks good, wish I'd got up an made the most of the dry weather an cleaned my T, god I hate night shifts haha.

Those above seem a popular upgrade at the minute, from what I've read an from pictures I have seen they look like real great bits of kit.
I'll certainly be getting some on the trophy in next few months. Other then that try an grease them...
This thread of yours has got me looking at vtr's on Ebay again haha, well I do need something to drive while I'm working on the trophy ;) we that's what I'll tell her in doors ha
that 20vt conversion looks tidy, plus the t series lumps are getting thin on the ground now days an parts are more readily available for the vag stuff so I guess its a no brainer.
A friend of mine has built a few of these, also ran low 13's up pod an upset some scooby forum ;)
One of his was running around 180bhp, serious bit of kit. If I remember right reyland built a rather nice one.
pmsl, saw this earlier an had to have a little chuckle!
Yeah agree there, maybe I could have expressed that better. The point I was trying to make is the fact he has no real ammunition, just that the peak torque figure hasn't increased massivily but he is clearly missing the point about the...
Tbh after seeing a few of his posts in other threads concerning rs2's, 197 cams or that have bin started of contributed by chip he seems to have some sort of personal vendetta either against chip or the products themsleves.
Ever heard of the old saying "nothing nice to say, then don't say...
Look at a torque wrench, see how it has the values ft/lb aswell as nm. What he is saying from what I can see is how he can produce more torque when hanging off a 4 foot bar, wheres the threat?
Most the gaskets I've changed on these have been on freelanders, 120bhp 1800 petrol pulling round a big lump like that!
I've recently just sold a little 2005 zr that used to belong to the missus, funnily enough I changed the head gasket on that! I brought it cheap an it had a bit of a leak...
I preferred my old 172 on 15's, few reasons really. More choice of Tyre an cheaper, due to running a 50 profile it tramlined less an was a nicer ride an just felt more nimble.
