I'm not debating whether running a charger is a good idea in a race series from a cost perspective, and tbh it's upto James whether he runs one or not. I personally would run N/A in a race series, but largely due to the regs issue.
My issue is your statement of "a standard car won't last long...
I've still got the full interior in mine. Just with a cage and buckets.
"Clubsport spec" I call it.
For track, I don't see the point of stripping it completely. Race, obviously is a different story. I suppose I'm just old and like having my stereo and carpets as I float around Oulton.
@dinger - not sure what your point is.
Mines a road car, yes. But WOT on a trackday is the same as WOT in a race tbh. Its WOT.
I recognise 15 mins solid of racing is different to 15 mins road driving. No one said it was the same.
But I'd say 4 trackdays lasting all day more than makes up for...

Oh hi! Yeah, I'm running circa 0.5bar as it's the highest that stock internals seem to be comfortable with. But yes, I am running ARP rod bolts. Ran 250bhp and 220 lb ft at RS tuning.
@Dan@SJM did some destructive testing on his for research purposes :smile:
Wheels - good shout, can't go wrong with TDs and decent tyres are much cheaper for 15s.
CSS - get yourself along bud, will be a great weekend :smile:
I'm on track in the morning session, then enjoy the "festival" in the afternoon and getting on the beverages in the evening.
De pinning Brembos - sometimes the only way is to cut the pins in half with an angle grinder as they bend. I run upgraded ones I got from @Ph1 Tom to stop them bending / warping.
Just finished the other side. They'll line up slightly better when the car is off the axle stands as the weight will be back on the front. :)
And to show clearance when the wheels are on lock;
Another job sorted. :)
I'm running 16mm spacers with these studs mate;

Note the hard use comment about replacing though :)
