That is a heart wrenching to watch. Rip Matthew and my sympathy to his family. It was brave of them to put themselves forward to try and stop it from happening to somebody else.
My credit card is out of my wallet waiting for the clock to strike midnight!
I will have to get my kit from a shop over here as I need to claim the VAT back, I wont be able to do that with Kerso unfortunately but the 19% discount will be worth it. :D
Web design has only ever been a hobby for me but I have been messing with CSS for the past week as I am trying to build a site for my Mrs's work. It is so much better than the tables route that I have always used.
The only thing I am struggling with is to come up with a nice design for the...
The good thing about Canon glass is that you can sell it on without taking much of a hit. Sigma/ Tokina etc always devalue more.... over here at least.
Not many changes since it was last posted.... extra ram, hard disks etc....

Try pulling the dial up on the left hand side of the body (with the lens facing away from you). Some of them used to have the door release there.
Battery could be for the display in the viewfinder (exposure meter?).
Get a loan and go for the D300. I had a play with one last week and fell in love. If there was any way I could afford it, I would leave Canon like a shot!
You might be able to get something for the lenses but not sure about the body.
There is still quite a market for the old Nikon lenses, assuming they are good ones.
One small point I would make is to keep an eye on the whole picture and not just the subject.
Two photos are let down by something in the foreground that lets down the photo (IMHO):
Just in case anybody is thinking of doing some shopping, a little birdy has leaked the below info for the 2008 cashback offers.
Runs from 1st March to 30th June.
€260 savings for me if I wait another two weeks. :D
Utter lens p**n......the cameras aren't bad either!
I am also curious about the tape, is it for camouflage when hiding in bushes outside celeb hang outs?
The best thing you can do is just use the camera as much as possible. Try taking people, buildings, random objects, animals, inside, outside, close ups etc etc etc.
Play with the settings and you will get a feel of what the various things do. There are a couple of useful guides stickied at the...
With the help of a high ISO (400-800 does not suffer too badly from noise) and fast shutter speed, you can still get some good shot though.
Fast lenses will also help you so if you are thinking of investing in some more, go for the f2.8 or lower.
F2.8 for indoors I guess?
Most people say that the canon is worth the extra cash. It has L glass inside apparently.. ehem.
I sold my 350D in a day for the price that I wanted for it, so it is not too much hassle. I bought my 70-200 second hand too without any problems.
Nice.... I have forced myself not to spend anything until I have finished the job I am working on first... otherwise I have no motivation!
The 24-105 L also goes in the shopping basket and I can just about stretch to the canon 10-22. I will just sell it for a profit when it comes to changing...
Should do. A mate of mine sent his Ixus back to canon for the same thing (except he had not been near any deserts) and they cleaned it fixed it and sent it back all free of charge.
Off topic, have you got your 40D yet and which lens did you go for?
