Sorry should have been clearer. I am getting the 24-105 and wanted to get one more lens to go along with it. The 50 mm just because it is sharp, cheap and good in low light, or the 10-22 for some more creative fun shots. I thnk I would have more fun with a wide lens than with the 50mm. I was...

I need some convincing! I am torn between the Canon 50mm 1.8 and the Canon 10-22. The 10-22 is really going to be breaking my budget but I would love to play with some wide shots..... Please post up your pics using wide lenses. :D

If you can wait until March, the 450D is out and the 350 prices should drop like a stone. Look at the 300D prices for an idea. It will be a buyers market in a months time I tell thee.

The meggys wheel arches are huge. 18's fit it with enough room for a small child in the arches still. 15's would be too small I think.

The 10-20's seem to have a high return rate so would not want one from HK. You can try yours out while you are there so it shouldn't be a problem. I really want a wide angle lens as the new one is 24 onwards. It might have to wait for next month...

That photo is awsome. I have seen some for about 60 quid so might invest... this is one expensive month Its your fault Chris, you started this whole photography thing up again and it re-kindled my habit. lol

I wasn't suggesting the 40D, I was just excited that it arrives within the week. The 450D comes out in a month and a bit and has a quite a few new features over the 400D so it might be worth waiting for. The 400D prices will also take a hit I would have thought. Whichever one you choose...

Has anybody here used them? They are a lot cheaper than a new marcro lens and some of the photos I have seen taken using them are awesome. Opinions?
