Not too late - 6th Feb is last date I think to pay.
The gaskets give a cooler inlet manifold and thus in theory you get more oxygen in so you can burn more fuel and get more power.
You can tell if it has cup suspension by measuring the space between the two bolts on the hub that hold it to the strut. 60mm means cup suspension 54mm (or 56 can't remember) means not cup suspension.
Maybe your sliders are a bit seized or your pads are a bit tight in the calliper. You could remove the pads and clean all the corrosion and dirt that builds up between them and the calliper and grease the sliders while you are there.
Mine does the same at the moment. I know my sliders are OK...
Don't trust the fuel gauge or trip computer.
Next time you fill up see how much it takes and compare that to the miles you did since last fill up to get a real indication of MPG.
My 182 has much more cabin vibration at idle than my 172 cup, haven't had it long enough to decide if it is normal...
I think in the handbook (172 handbook that is) you can use anything from 0W30 - 15W50. 15W is still OK to -15 celcius.
The 30 grade oils are normally regarded as good for fuel economy if I remember correctly.
Mine goes max to min twice in 12k miles, but it has done 130k. When I first got it at 24k it used half that much. I do mostly motorway miles - so high revs.
There is a special tool to take the tension off the aux belt so you can remove it/add the new one. But it isn't that special. You basically need to find a way to get a 3/8" square drive in by the tensioner with a long enough lever to move it. I ground down the side of a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter so...
Probably yes. It is nothing to do with ABS. The cups have v low rear brake effort. They often get failed for it. SO they would have overall low brake efficiency. There is a VOSA bulletin that you can show to the MOT tester to try and convince him to pass it.
Do some searches on here and you'll...
I got 174 atf, 151 atw on my 130k miles 172 with just a ktec stealth.
Has been well looked after on the oil front. I thought I'd check the compression after those figures and each cylinder was making just over 190 psi so still good compression. My 42k miles 182 was only slightly higher...
I've just done mine. Loosen both ends of the pipe before you remove either, then get the new one on quick, end nearest the reservoir first. Then let gravity pull the fluid through the new line before you connect up the other. I lost hardly any fluid and mine needed hardly any bleeding either. I...

If you hold the compensator up while assistant 1 presses the brakes and assistant 2 tries to turn the wheels the brakes should work much more strongly. On mine by default you can just turn the wheel by hand with someone stood on the brakes. But if I cable tie the compensator arm up to the...
Do some searches. For 200BHP you'll most likely need ITBs although it is supposedly possible with a different single inlet.
Cams, decat, matched inlets, remap, IK and exhaust should get you mid 190s AFAIK.
