loads you can be doing but it's starting to get more involved now. i'd go for poly windows first - it's weight from the top half of the car, although i think the front three windows are lightened anyway aren't they? (not sure how they might compare with poly).
removing the heater's up there...
i think i've read somewhere on here that leaks aren't uncommon. i've got two anyway.
as MillerLight, you need to have a good look through the system to find out where it's coming from. mine's leaking from the rack seals (the o/s gaiter is full of fluid) and one of the pipes on the front of the...
i take your point but if people were consistently offering a third less than a guide price, there's something wrong.
back to the model in question, they've depreciated impressively enough over the last year without having to factor in the odd offers that some people will make.
obviously, but both buyers and sellers work from such.
a seller would be daft to accept much less than a current guide price and this model isn't going to command a premium (as some cars do). there'll come a time when they do - but that'll be once they're worth next to nothing and is years...
just been scooting around on Parker's out of personal interest; they suggest an '02 with average miles (60k) is worth £4245 - private sale, good condition
i'm not familiar with the caliper in question, but is it the head of the bolt that you've sheered off? if so, can you still dismantle the caliper as you were intending?
hopefully someone with experience of the caliper you're dealing with will post but if you could stick up a picture, i could...
it's possible there was a scotch egg or similar savoury rolling around in the footwell - maybe the gas pedal became stuck?
who cares - he ditched the car in the first corner; luckily he video'd it and (luckier still) decided to share it with the world. i just can't help but laugh every time i...
it generally takes quite some distance to wind a well geared road car through the final 10% or so of its top speed, so struggling beyond 125mph sounds about right.
the gearbox might otherwise be a let down (again, ) but the ratios do suit the engine well.
i think it'd be running in the low 5,000s; they'll comfortably pull 60 in second but you're not far from the change light by then (at whatever revs that comes on at)
if you really need to get round it as quickly as possible, second's the obvious choice but you're 3/4 of the way through the speed attainable in second at 45mph. there's plenty of torque available in third from that speed - you're not going to bog down; would be slower but smoother
might be confusing it with another but was it driven by quite an attractive girl, possibly with a little-person in the car? don't think she's on the forum if it's the one i'm thinking of
sounds like a clutch problem to me. i've only driven Cups (which are a bit lighter - not sure how much different a FF might be to launch; probably not much) but they don't need many revs at all to get them going as quickly as you're going to - excellent traction imo. 3k would just make a mess in...
