On further inspection is sort of sounds like theres something lose in the roof like a screw or something like that, if so how hard is it to remove the roof lining?
My Clio has developed one heck of a loud rattle around the sun roof area, it's the mk1 phase 2 so it's electic sunroof.
If I close the door you hear this donge sound like someone jumping off a diving board in a cartoon
If I 1. Open the sun roof or two put pressure on the sunroof with my hand...
Got the car back Hi-Q changed the PAS belt and the fan belt for £50 pretty decent they showed me the old belt too the fan belt was frayed and was on it's way out (dreads to think what the cams like...)
It's probably me, I'm like that with all the cars I've had (...destroyed) I try and pick faults with them and in the end in my head I'm always worrying about diffrent things which usually result in nothing.
Something that is worth a mention though is the front brake pads are running a bit low, I'll probably mention it to HI-Q tommorow as they replace my Fan belt, they're charging me £60 for fan belt and pas belt inc fitting at £40ph
Going by £40ph any body est. how much it'd cost for some new...
LOL I remember what the brakes like without the servo when me and my mates tried to bump start it not a nice feeling as your rolling down the hill preying it's going to start as you've got bugger else way of stopping.
My pedal feels harder than normal today it was fine last night, the car still brakes as it should no loss in perfomance in that area, could I put this down to all the salt on the roads or is there something more to it?
Not that is does anything anyway apart from sit there and look ugly, it must be one of them aftermarket wipers as it only tickles the bottom of the screen.
Number plate, thats a bloody good point cheers I'll check that tommorow. Rear wiper is rattling yep tbh apart from removing it I haven't a clue how to solve it?
I had a quick check there are vents either side of the boot so you got one on the very left front edge and very right front edge taken them out which seems to have helped tommorow I will put something over the hole see if it improves more.
I'll have to check that now cheers, mines weak as anything wouldn't put a letter on it let alone a parcel cant seem to be able to remove it either my old clio mk1 phase 1 had a solid parcel shelf this ones like it's made out of paper
LOL I know what with it being made like a Coke can Clio's in general, sorry Renaults in general do rattle but theres a very annoying one when I have my sub on it's not a bass rattle it's something around the rear, it seems to stop when the boots up.
Anyone got any tips on what to do in order...
Yeah it's 100% got something to do with the amount of power consumed at the time as it does it when I switch the heated windows on, also does it when I drop down a gear and the revs go up.
Can just see the top of the belt with three bolts on the cog type thingy (Techy talk eh) dont think I can see the alt will check in daylight it's a 1.4 Energy engine btw.
And regards to WD40; no I haven't done it but I did see on this forum someone recomend it along with scraping a candle...
Hiya Dink, Do you mean the top of the belt which is visable in the engine bay in front of the PAS pump, I imagine I have to turn the bolts clockwise a little bit?
Any idea what I have to do/take off to get to it please, would be a great help as it's seriously driving me nuts sitting here now I can still hear the screach in my head.
I've installed my new sound system today, it's 1000 watts and my car doesn't like it one bit.
At night time if I have the system on the belt almost constantly squeals if I turn the system off the squeal disapears.
Before having to strip half the car down to tighten the belt (Bloody french)...
What do you think about this lads and just to confirm the AMP is intergrated?

So you reckon the Fusions a decent deal?
Also looking at the amp which comes with the Fusion "2 channel 190W RMS amplifier" can you tell me in simple guy terms whats the true output of that and how it compairs to the SPL.
Thanks for your help guys!!
What about the Alpine Type-R 10"
Would that give out, I know SPL is pretty cheap and Alpine is decent so in comparison would there be much performance loss if any from it?
Basically I want to save space but don't want to lose too much bass, what design gives the best sound my Bandpass box...

I'm looking to buy a new headunit can someone recommend one, I want a cheapish one around £200, if I was to run two amps what would I need to look out for is it two preouts or something like that?
I got the same extra underneath my seats in my 1.4 RT. But no switchnear the steering wheel for heated seats I'm positive its for heating and I know the french designed it so you've got to expect them to f@ck up but if the seats are not heated why have all the wiring on it still
Okay people heres my current ICE situation
Sony Xplode 4x50w Headunit
Front SPL 120w Speakers
Rear JBL 6x9s
SPL 500w Amp
SPLx twin 10" Sub
Basically the amp is powering the subs but my speakers have no juice and distort easily so I was thinking of wiring up a cheap amp to give them a...
Yeah mate was doing it big time tonight as it's cold as anything, bloody old grumpy from down the road came out and gave me some stick for it.
So can you describe in laymans terms where it is, looking at the engine from under the bonnet I can see two belts either of them the aux belt?
If...
