I do enjoy the Clio plus I like my car its been with me for ages cannot bear to sell it for no reason realy.
The handling isn't the same as a 172/182 but there not a huge amount in it IMO I could away change the remaining bit on my car ie hubs brakes rear axle ARB and wishbones for 172/182 at...
The megan or Williams be are the same realy no more power from one vs the other just megans are usualy in better condition. You should realy rebuilt anyway.
Yep dci 65 don't have alarms as standard.
The 80 and 100 dci plus 1.6 were dealership standard fitment I'm sure. (rarther than dockside fitment)
It won't it must have been fitted in error or something.
200hp should be quite easy (I've found injectors which on stock injectors window would make 180hp so infact I'd have to reduce the window on a 160hp car) the torque would be what would limit me don't want to push more than 300lb though one of there boxes as thats the official limit. The 5 speeds...
Priced up some injectors and lines (as you know they should be change) and the cost was shocking £350 or so I think thats for one.
I'm not bored with the power but the old TDI is much lower pressure there tunning bits easier out there use the PD130/150 compressor and GT17 (110hp VAg TDI)...
Live a fair way from work, then there holidays abroad which add up I estimated 10% of my milage had been done abroad at one point. ANd since the cars cheap to run realy going down south for the weekend no issue.
You need to get the old one out there 2 different sizes 7 and 8mm diameter from memoery ask for a bleed nipple screw they'll know what you want.

Or any brake speciaist refurb place.
Yep not a bad engine realy that one for what it is.
I need some convincing what to do maybe a better idea is to get a second Clio (a cheap crashed one) and make it all fit buttcher its looms and get it working them do a swop since the looms are plug and play into my car shell.
I do to many miles to make a 172 etc transplant work out. Plus might as well just buy one.
I like ABS I do a fair few miles in all weathers so its a handy plus it powers the speedo plus the stereo for there sound so that a nice touch for simplicity. Plus its stand alone system.
I'd like...
Its not to light yep but with some weight removal (battery in boot plus maybe washer bottle in there) should't be to bad won't be much different than the 1.8T (same block size) and thats been used before now.
1.5 isn't that light.
OK the reason behing this is written below but opinions please
Got this idea of sticking a new engine in my car (VAG 1.9 TDi last generation system not PD)
For simplicity dump the UCH and electronis keep the stock ABS etc just make a stand along system for the indicators etc and use stock...
Loads of people on here have had serious suspension parts changed whilst on coilovers. Delaerships don't care they get paid by Renault UK for the work.
They will stop only should stink first time giving them a bedding in then never again.
Depedns what you deem as a bed in I give them a decinet workout for about 20 minutes so they fade a bit and they never stink again.
Between 5 and 300,0000 miles. There no set in stone figures I wasn't happy with my shocks at about 50k and changed them thats with stock springs as well. Other have had 70k on 50mm springs and claim to drive hard and are still happy with shocks.
