Sounds like you might haver got ripped of sounds like it was just a worn dog bone mount wish is £40 for the part and 20 mins to fit at worst.

Lower down on the B pillar where the drivers door attches to the shell. Also check your lower front windscreen there details there.

5 liters is fine a but more 5.5 liters with filter and if you leave it to drip out I always kept a second container of oil in the car anway.

If you change the springs you should change the shocks as well shocks are desinged for set spring rates.

ANy garage can do them renaly if there nay good just need to tell them how you want them setups ie 1.5 degress negative camber and stock toe.

Why not just do the garenteed thing and get the faster car?

To be faiir its only the later Mk2 which had integral tanks filters and pumps.

£250 or so for cambelt aux belt and pump doing might as well do the pump realy as its in the way of the cambetl the aux belt has to eb chnaged when the belts chnaged after all it comes off and should never be retensioned.

Do these have this little circuit board in them?

Check the speedo sensor at the back of the gearbox most likly its come loose.

They should idealy have changed the seal rings.

You need to realy clean the engine down I woulnd't jet wash it just use rags and find out where its leaking from.

You might need new clips.
