Does'nt the ecu "learn" and adjust itself after running a couple of tanks of a higher/lower octane?
With my (ex)Scooby i really had to have a minimum of 98, anything lower and it went funny. Higher and it ran like a train, a very fast train
when you've had your exhaust decatted it is what caused your emission light to come on, nothing to do with your airfilter. Now they made some more $$ , and you're still lighting up..
Your engine is not going to be effected by it though, just leave it .
ps; you can solve it by buying (yes...
Hi all,
I believe the 172 trophee is fitted with larger frontwheel bearings (larger+stronger hubs ?) and the front wheels are around 1 centimeter further apart in comparisson to the regular cup , i believe it's called widetrack ?
When purchasing H+R's for this set-up, do you need the same...
And when you do this and the "knocking" is there, your mounts are shot ?
I got the same problem when getting wheelspin , not a nice noise.
I've read on here that you could readjust the top mount by loosening it, pushing the engine all the way back and then retighten it so the engine is in a...
check out Yozzasport site, i think they sell a real nice set of discs (Brembo) in combo with EBC green stuff or DS 2500 Ferodo pads.
You will not need to upgrade anything else, this will stop you rapidly
i have this as well, would'nt worry. It's like you can hear the electrical current "buzzing" through, it starts when the ignition-key is turned on one step ?
Dont get me wrong, i actually quite like this ktec Stealth. The fit was really good on mine.
I have had a Orbisoud sportcat welded on there though, so i wouldnt know how it sounds with a decat. Probably way too loud.
There was a problem with the back mount on Chrissy's car. I've got the same one and the idea of this exhaust is that it' should be hidden behind the bumper. On mine you can just see a tiny bit of the end. Sounds a bit boomy though
I think (sorry) it might have something to do with noiselevels ? Because of "acoustic" has to do with sound ? The valve maybe there just to reduce the noise. If this is all it does i want to take mine off too !
correct me when i'm wrong
Which map did you get ? was it a custom job or was it one of the popular "group N" maps ?
I want to get mine matched, one o these days, and i'm already running a group N ecu , but wondering if this will still be right with the matched inlets?
I hope so because i dont want to spend another load...
maybe defective Air to fuel ratio sensor, somewhere where the air comes in the manifold. When this one is broken, the car will run in some sort of emergency-setting, causing the car to run a lot richer. When this fail-safe does'nt work the engine will suffer damage from running to lean.
I...
you've got it nice and waxxxxxed !!
I'm curious, does your car run better with the intake coming from this place ? I'm thinking of taking out one of my foglights to do the same (on my saxo it mattered!)
When i still drove a Saxo 16v i modified my airfeed (going to a Viper box) to take in air directly from behind the bumper (where the radiator opening was). Really could notice the difference, car reacted better with a lot of air being forced in there.
Now with my cup i'm thinking of...
I read on here before that the high carbons are really good/nice for road-use, the max's will be better when you also do trackdays.
Do a search , plenty on here about brakes
really nice he !?
There was a guy at Reno who said that the early models (Ragnotti) had his signature somewhere on the dash ?
This one on the sun-blind cant be beat though !
