does'nt sound like a problem with you running the wrong octane fuel to me. But since fuel was mentioned; fast engines dont like low octane fuels if you ask me, stick with the Ron98 (for the 2.0 RS that is) !! With my former scooby the difference was huge, the higher the octane the better ...

to keep it simple (or not;) ) ; Camber and Caster can't be adjusted on these cars.... (that is unless you have put on these camber adjustment-bolts which are for sale, Ktec for example.) So you'll have to do with a good alignement.

yep, this is why i gave my engine-nr. .... dont settle for anything less then this 736 (or whatever nr. your damaged engine was) !! Good luck, i can imagine the situation you're in .

I've got a sportscat from Orbisoud with a Ktec system to the back, no lights on the dash (but this differs per car) and i like the performance. A decat will give the most benefit though, sportscat wo'nt get you through MOT anyway so why not try decat :cool: !? Sound will be a lot louder so...

Michelin PE2's i like. Before i had the Proxes , they were all over the road in the wet. Michelin till now very good, wet+dry !

this is the TT feeling , all about style. I have never seene anybody driving hard in a TT before, and there are loads drving around here in Holland. Only once did i hear the engine-sound of one coming by and it made me think.... why does'nt anybody ever throttle it a bit ? It's about style...

no, it's only happening when getting wheelspin in first gear. Not when turning either It sounds like what Edde's described . Have'nt had this on any other car i've owned though. It does'nt sound healthy at all, scared the s**t out of me

just found this thread ; When i rev it a bit and get a wheelspin in first , there's a pretty loud knocking noise, scary sound really ! I was thinking the worse of it; but after reading this, it is'nt something to worry about at all ??
