Just though I gues your using the Cup dash?
If so then you'd need a Renault Clip to swop the dash over to think its got an ABS system IMo its worth it. Only issue is the ECU has a speedo in line so it tuns the fans on /off at different speeds depending on temperature but IMO thats no issue.
I'm sure 172 fits noen Cuped 182 only difference if you need camber bolts or hube with enough adjustment to make up for the different track.
I've used them on may car they were a bit annoying realy setting exactly to what you want a bit of a pain. Plus I wanted to run as much camber as they...
I assume your using the ABS system to power the speedo if so least when/if you need to chnage boxes you cna use any box not just a Cup box with its speedo sensor.
1.2 shafts humm can we guess now long they last? I'm guessing two months.
Most of them I'd think at least half thats whay they were hybrided.
DVLA figures don't mean anything also as quite a few havn't had there info changed to show there now 172's.
Join the red jump lead to the positive terminal of your car battery (plastic sleeve needs removing from the bettery if its still there)
Then join the other end of that red lead to the positive terminal on the other car battery.
Join the black lead from the negative terminal on the other car...
Matts only done 3 himself he's sold a few kits plus there a load Matts had nothing to do with.
I think Matts place have done more than 3 from memory anyway.
Fred from the looks of the wiring diagrams you could use your old looms but for the effort I wouldn't bother just swop the whole looms. OK your dash needs to come fully out and its more work but you'll need to work out your ABS and PAS systems anyway.
Its the road traffic act says any running car engine connection to the normal drive train (hence why generators on the back of truck are ok) if its running needs to have a driver in the seat.
Its part of the road traffic act.
The cars not imobolisedd if the engine running the imobiliser...
Is that the £3k 300hp one? I posted up earlier looked a good buy. Then again a £3k Evo maybe it needs some TLC so not an ideal track car.
Maz I'd no idea exactly but the Evos arn't that light from what I remember so towing one isn't a good idea the all up weight would be huge I'd only bother...
Stock pads are more than enough. Bleed the fluid as well with some decient stuff.
If your doing a 172 conversion you'd want to use the 172 brakes as well anyway.
Sorry yep 110hp. I assumed you had the 1.2 16V. If you've a 1.2 8V then best idea to swop the head/engine for a 16V one or you'll be limited in power to about 85hp with throttle bodies IMO.
get the coilovers for a 172 don't bother doing a conversion as you cannot use 1.2 coilovers on a 172 (well you can they just won't work idealy and you have to bodge them)
