Theres a few been done before now you need to make things simple to swop the whole mechnaic front and and the wiring looms and dash and swop it all for 172 gear. IE brakes supension front and rear gearbox dahabord engine looms wiring (UCH if your doing a phase 2)
You could just stick the...
Forget Toyos I don't like them in 15 in 16 they seem better but they still arn't excellent IMO. Personaly I'd always rempalce all 4 tyres with the same type but there no need. Best tyres should always be on the back so rotate them round front to back and new ones on the back.
Just lookto see...
Its the sensor around the key ring common problem check the connections are any goodand replace the sensor.
If the sensor doesn't get a signal from the key then the imobiliser light stays on/flashes.
You can just push the new balls in.
I'd personally work out where eaxclt they should be and superglue in place athen take the bumper off and fit the new units.
It all depends on your driving my fronts last 15k same alamost for the pads. I get though stock pads as fast as yres realy it depends hwo yuo drive.
Your one of the few people along with me who actually think there any good.
You can just check/chnage them yourself not difficult.
Very possible pads are work and so this might mean the pads have scratched the disk.
New pads £40 from Renault or there a decient rage of upgrade stuff ranging from £40 to £120.
New disk are about £60 for a set. Stock/Brembo high carbon are better than fancy dilled oe which only crack.
Its means the normal mapping for fuel /injection etc are adjsuted ie instead of 1ml of fuel being injected at 4k onb half throttle it gives 1.2ml etc.
It can give a few Hp gains not much though its mid range after all the stock maps on a normal standard car are designed by Renault to be close...
HP alone gives very little top end gains its more mid range its still not much even more so on a stock engine.
Deat gives the engine a bit more power removes some of the restriction in the ehxyat as the 172 cat is quite restrictive.
Danlp6 - Could fit the 172 engine gearbox looms etc to your car he has a phase 1 setup which IMO is better than the phase 2 stuff anyway.
A 1.2 isn't ever going to be ideal with stock gearbox chnaging to lower ratio would help but a 172 conversion might work out better.
Sell your car and buy a proper Cup racers and buy a second car.
Or better still make the Cup racer road legal not to difficult.
You could return your car to stock and use the tunned bits on the Cup or use the money for track days.
Nope you need a Renault Clip to program them the UCH needs the switching chnaged also the drivers side switch is different according to the wiring diagram on and of positioning (although strangle not by one connection).
2 year warently and so ong as the cars not a Portugese import you just have to ring Renault uk tell them its a UK based car and you get the third year of the warently for fre drop Lee a message he has a printed letter if you want.
2.0 bottom end and cams are much better value cheaper more power thoguh the rev range before bothering looking at throttle bodies.
2.0 bottom end and decient cams ~180hp.
I wrote a guide showing how to do it with the Mk2 phase 2 Clio.s Its not simple its do able but you need Renault to enable it and buy a new drivers side switch (ot checked though) and a bit of alterered wiring.
I'll try dig it out tomorrow.
Are you keeping the stock dash/speedo etc or going for the posh stuff?
It would be interesting to see the weights before and after the looms heavy enough lighteweight and it would save a lot. The UCH and ECU for a start (the stock one).
Are you going to remove the brackets for the rear...
Nope 182 CUp pakced are 60mm.
You could make 58m ones fit but there not the risgh spec for a 182.
Stock aare fine if you want to upgrade then spend a lot on H and R/Leda etc or just refusb the whole setup.
Yep but you've got them on the front anway.
there no need but for a few extra quid plus since there harder compount will stop rush they arn't bad value.
Nope they won't try gettig them to do it.
They have to cliam the money back from Renault UK when Renault question why they arn't supplying prooff of full service history if your car needed a new engine then since they cannot provide one Renault UK won't pay the dealership for the work/engine...
