I took my door strips off the phs1 and lovingly smothered them with Autoglym bumpersnot, to compliment the nice cleaning job the Lithuanians did yesterday at the carwash
Just because its not been done by a "specialist" doesnt mean the timing is out. For the price of a few cam caps, you can check it yourself, its easily done.
Get the inlet off and check the plugs before ordering any though.
Failing that, take it somewhere reputable (if you arent confident...
woooooooooooooooo, how much at the stealers?? LOL.
There was some on eGay at £7ish, but I assumed these were universal shite and not even worth a look.
So are the front and rear pumps seperate?
Whhooooaaaaa, now we are getting into big money territory. Did HE do the belts, or have them done somewhere?
Best plugs are NGK PFR6E-10. Standard leads are fine as long as they arent torn/worn.
Do you know if it has the correct plugs in it? Whip it off and have a look. They may need replacing.
A good service with new filters can usually help. Failing that, might be a coil pack or lead breaking down, so best to check the cheaper options first
My washer pump is on its way out I think. Its a little slow to spray, and not very powerful. I assume a standard clio item from renault/motorfactor will be fine? Or are there uprated ones that will fit?
Also, Are there better spray jets available that are direct fit? From other renault models...
I have noticed that my Ph1 wont accept LED bulbs.
Sidelights, reg plate lights, LED fogs etc. They just dont work at all.
Tried them wired direct to the battery and they shine nice and bright. Put them in the bulb holder on tje car.... nothing.
Anyone else had this issue?
Incorrect.
The first post is correct. VDRS form. if the cat was present at the time of the MOT, then that would be fine. If you alter it, and get caught, it must be put back to standard to be re-tested.
Well, this is the issue.
I put a decat on. 2 days later, the light came on. I took decat off and plugged it in on normal code reader. Says fault with Cat, refuses to turn light off.
Put it on clip...... clip doesnt even talk to the car, wont recognise it.
So light is still on, and both...
How is this done?
A mechanic friend of mine put one in a vice, plugged a multimeter on the terminals and then heated the probe up with a blowtorch.
He said that depending on the values shown on the multimeter would confirm if they were buggered or not.
Is this true??
I saw this up close last week in Wilmslow. You cant see it from that pic, but the rear wheels need 50mm spacers, and the bodywork is an absolute tip.
The guy driving looked like a right scruff herbert too
