You can just remove the top torx bolt to let the tention go, then lever the fooker back down and get the bolt in.
But the proper way is to get a 3/8 square drive in the square and pull it towards the front of the car (IIRC)!

The CV boots come off I reckon, iv had it a few times. Look under there and make sure the clip that has come off isnt making this tapping noise as its touching the ABS ring.

Sounds like a UCH problem to me. The only way to tell is to take it to renault unfortunatly.
I know exactly what you mean by this. Your still holding the key in the crank postion but the starter stops its self.
Iv had a few in at work do this exact thing (including my brothers 172 and a friends 1.2) in the end they all cured them selves.

Iv had that before on a kangoo. Same engine, the pistons where fine so a second hand head was put on and it was fine. It may be cheaper to source just a head.
Thats part of the regulator that the cables run on. You will probably find that the cables have wrapped them selves up too.
New regulator needed really!
Its Quite a common problem buddy. Iv had re soldered them before.
If you take the key apart and then take the circiut board out of the plastic and you will see where it should go.
The aux belt may of come off and wrapped its self around the crank and locked it up possibly.
Or as you said, it could be completly nothing to do with the belt change.
There is a square drain plug on th e bottom of the gearbox to drain the oil.
The drivers drive shaft will just pull out.
The passengers shaft will come out after the 3 13mm bolts are removed.
The fill plug is a white plug on the front of the gearbox (towards the front of the car)...
