Ferrdo come in loads of specifications they make the Halford own versions which are dangaeous and they make the DS300 racing pads which arn't road legal. They alss make the original equipment stuff.
Nope few bodsy shops can do it right its not difficult to do it yourself and a back street garage even with cheap stuff is often better than dealers and bodyshops.
Drop me a call if you want to DIY/beer me it.
The phase 1 ECU ie the one for the manul throttle body has different pin in and outs The phase 2 controls the throttle body and has different pin outs so pin out 1 doesn't do the same as pinout 1 in the phase 1 ecU there only a few pin outs the same. Group N ECU for phase 1 and phase 2 have to...
Ist a bit common normally its either the connections on the back of the dahs or at worst its a new dashbaord some dashbaords have had to be changed under warently.
Have the brakes bled that can usualy be the fix if not check the pads condition personally unless you've got problems stock pads for the money arn't bad otherwsie DS2500s are a much fatserroad/race pad but there more expensive and squeek when cold plus there suppos to be race use only.
Check the battery and alternator.
I've gone a bit balnk at the moment but the system doesn't like low power. If the battery cannot supply the power for the PAS it turns it down from memory.
The exhaust one in the intake can still have work done to it to ake it better gains though depends how bad the one you have is some are better than others
The 1.6 did come in none + spec but they chnaged the name after a bit to try and differentiat it and called the 1.6 as they had other bits on them dynamiques +'s nothing chnaged though realy.
Why not? Different ages 1.6's or the owners didn't realise that it was clled the +model. IT meant...
Sounds lik a bargin hammer a car for 6k then get a new one all for £123 a month. ( £16 a month put aside to pay for your 1k extra miles you think you'll do)
Independant but find a good one.
The fault should be logged in the ECU so a diagnostic computer can read the code might be as simple as a sensor gone bad.
Tell them that under suitability of good for service act that an exhaust failing that early isn't suitable, therefore whilst exhausts arn't under warently its under warently as it fails in an unacceptable lenght of time.
Ring Renault Uk they will agree for a repacment free of time the dealers...
Buy a whole rear disk axle.
£100~300 for them
£300 will get you a brand new unused 182 one with new disk calipers etc.
Only 4 bolts hold the axle on then there the handbrake cable and brake pipes to connect.
Stright fit realy.
For those who don't know a vernier is one of these
http://classroom.sdmesa.net/mcrivello/vernier_files/image002.gif
a normal tape messure is enough no need to buy verniers.
Assuming its a replcment ECU its easy to fit just undo the old covering bracket unplug old ecu remove it put new one in plug in put cover back on and go.
10 minutes work.
Err it would fit (I'd think you'd have to cut some bulkhead away though as the V6 is huge alo mount most of the bits in the bot) like most thing but the effort is massive don't bother the V6 isn't amazing realy. 255hp from the phase 2 engine but it weight a lot so stick it at the front and...
What model/engine is it?
Form what you've said sounds oike you have a Mk2 and if the red light on the dash doesn't go out its the imobiliser which is on. Try another key or otherwsie it sounds like you need to check/chnage /clean the imobiliser sensor ring round where the keys goes as they...
The 1.6 16V was made in both dynamic and dynamic plus but there idential realy its just to diferentiate the normal dynamic 1.2 from the 1.6 which had aircon etc they called the 1.6#s + models.
More than 500 for definate 5,000 I'd think more likly.
Doesn't mean anyhting same searing racks...
I'd go for H and R as there cheaper and superb value. The Yozzasport Bilsteins are a bit hard for road use Ledas are more popular as there more road usbale (although there more xpensive).
Demon Tweeks sell 5mm univrsal one but ideally for even that you'd want longer bolts in which case might as well spend big and get somne decinet hubcentrial ones made up not cheap but they're safer and have longer bolts.
Disadvantages are bearingshould wear quicker.
Also if you stick them on...
