On a stock engine ie no cams exhaust etc thee not huge point but it will make it abit smoother to drive and help the mid range but its not cheap.
Personally I'd only go to reliable places but your looking at £500 or so for this Chipwizards are popular on here for £350~400 I think.
Yep way to much.
Easy to do I'm trying to write a guide but keep getting draged to ther things but its the same as the 172 guide which if you become a member you cna look at.

Eurocarparts are cheap but personally I always use Halfords disk are...
Dead easy to do oil filter can be in three places from memory. I'll try get pics in a second.
I'd use 5-40 but 10-40 is fine. What type of oil I'd say Silkline pro as so many uses like it but it depends what you do with the car track day users need to use somehting a bit better for track work.
Mk2 pahse 2 in 1.2 16V/1.4 16V/1/1.6 16V/dci all use the Valver calieprs and disks.
The 1.2 8V can use the 239mm disk and different calipers but there not that common anyway.
5-40 or 10-40 is fine its just 5-40 protects down to -3-0 or somehting and 10-40 protects to just -20 or something I've writed a thread about it some time agao.
Cuuld be a worn stearing rack/setup etc.
I'd always prefere a phase 1 excpet for there older age weeker shell (however small) lower NCAP rating externally and internally looks I perfere the phase2's
Williams 1's I'd say assuming same condition etc are worth more.
I personally prefere the 2's as they don't have the ABS and sunroofs and have bigger wing mirrors.
Best idea value for money wist is to stick a new engine in it nothing else is value for money efficient.
However if you want
Manifold back exhaust system
Cold air intake and panel filter.
remap it to take account fo the extra minimal fueling
drive it very very very hard for loads of miles...
Would an answer to the space issue be either to go to a CUp type desing remove the air con/put the alternator where the PS pump is anrun an electric rack? Or alternativly new radiator further forwards or a whle new one / use the space where the battery etc is?
£1.2k as you say isn't what...
Stock rear ones are fine. You can upgrade but the rears don't do much the only reason IMO to upgrade the rears are so you can tell people you've uprated pads all round or if you run a Bias valve and can fully utilise the rear brakes or you want to try and keep the rear diks clean more since the...
Yep there quite hard but 99.9999% of people (IMO) won't ever need more than this

I'd need a 172 for starters.
But nope I'd never buy one infact tunning of car doesn't realy bother me I'd do it DIY for fun but never buy anyhting and make life easy.
I was just trying to say people have claimed loads of companies are looking at them but no one has just rumours people...
DS2500 pads with new diks and lines. £200 I think from Yozzasport.
4 pots from most places seem overpriced but they are superb I miss mine like mad.

You only need them to adjust camber as per the name suggests either you want to run some more camber or to bodge some other struts to fit.
I've used them...
