    Don't use powerful is the easy option you need to lube them up all the time or they squeek.

    re-map 172

    On a stock engine ie no cams exhaust etc thee not huge point but it will make it abit smoother to drive and help the mid range but its not cheap. Personally I'd only go to reliable places but your looking at £500 or so for this Chipwizards are popular on here for £350~400 I think.

    clio 1.2 16v engine oil...

    Dead easy to do oil filter can be in three places from memory. I'll try get pics in a second. I'd use 5-40 but 10-40 is fine. What type of oil I'd say Silkline pro as so many uses like it but it depends what you do with the car track day users need to use somehting a bit better for track work.

    which mk2 clio uses.........

    Mk2 pahse 2 in 1.2 16V/1.4 16V/1/1.6 16V/dci all use the Valver calieprs and disks. The 1.2 8V can use the 239mm disk and different calipers but there not that common anyway.

    Oil for 182

    5-40 or 10-40 is fine its just 5-40 protects down to -3-0 or somehting and 10-40 protects to just -20 or something I've writed a thread about it some time agao.

    Its to stop dirty etc getting into the car aircon system if you have aircon you have one if not you don't.

    5mm isn't huge but if your chnanging the oil relitivly frequently I wouldn't bother about it.

    Cuuld be a worn stearing rack/setup etc. I'd always prefere a phase 1 excpet for there older age weeker shell (however small) lower NCAP rating externally and internally looks I perfere the phase2's

    Williams 1's I'd say assuming same condition etc are worth more. I personally prefere the 2's as they don't have the ABS and sunroofs and have bigger wing mirrors.

    Best idea value for money wist is to stick a new engine in it nothing else is value for money efficient. However if you want Manifold back exhaust system Cold air intake and panel filter. remap it to take account fo the extra minimal fueling drive it very very very hard for loads of miles...
