I'll try and explain it even easier.
look behind the HU, at the end of the renault wiring loom there is a red bullet connector and a yellow bullet connector. One wire goes to the battery the other goes to the ignition... permanent live problems are often resolved by unplugging the 2 wires and...
ok, so to clarify:
You've had 2 different Head Units, 2 different Amps and changed your earth point... and with both HU/amp combinations the light on the 2 different amps is always on when the ignition is off?
take clear photographs of the back of the HU, and the connectors on the amp, and your earth point.
are you on the talkaudio forums? Full of great advice on there.
I've just bought some PE2's, however... when they're dead I'm changing to ContiSport 3's simply because they're a good tyre, and are more available than the PE2 off the shelf. Save a few quid, too.
Never heard of them before, but to be honest they're probably made by one of the premium brands.
If you've been happy with them for the past 15k, stick with them!
Neither of the belts are included as standard as part of a scheduled service.
You have to ask for them to be done at the same time, if that's what you want.

Its off at the moment and has been for...

..J..a.m.e..s.. I dont have pics any more, but i'll try and explain in more detail.
Find yourself a T-8 or similar nut, bolt and 2 washers. Now, I found a section of the boot floor (under the carpet) right in the corner under the rear light...
I've already suggested the best method of getting a good earth on your amp. Scroll up, please don't start another new thread on it.
I'll try and find you a pic of my earth point, but I sold the car 3 years ago so the pics might be long gone...
since when do standard Xenon units from sports fail easily? :S
Straight forward swap if you can find the Xenon units complete from a binned sport. Shouldn't be a problem living so close to ClioSpares though.
try swapping the red and yellow wires over behind the HU, they should just be bullet connectors. One is the constant live and the other is the ignition wire.
I made a new earth in my old 172 by drilling next to the spare wheel well, through to underneath the car. Sanded back the paint, bolted in the earth and painted over.
I recommend doing it this way rather than use the rear seat mounting bolts like most people do.
