Well all the stage 2 work comes in between £1500 and £2000 depending on how much youve got done already. I really couldnt say cos I had bits and pieces of other engine out work done while it was there.
Well Im just waiting for it to arrive at the moment, got that and a bit of Samco hose to hook it up to the throttle body; both on order. The one Im getting is definitely not the normal off the shelf model and its not the one for the 172 either. You know how little room there is in there, but it...
Yeah go for it, its not a difficult job. The old handle should come off easily if you cut it with a sharp knife. Make sure that you hold onto the shaft when you take the handle off, cos in mine it has springs underneath that can easily come out.
Yeah I am very interested cos Ive got a BMC carbon box on order. In fact I am also looking at doing a quick run at Mowatts myself in the very near future. When were you thinking of going down there?
*lol* this ones a corker... the original regulator in the n/s end of the rail has to be taken out then you put an adapter in its place. The return pipe is discounected and the rail must be plugged up where you pulled it out. The adapter runs a pipe out to the new adjustable regulator, wherever...
Well I wouldnt bother with an induction kit at all. Unless you have so little power anyway it doesnt matter if you lose a bit more!
The Viper is a good idea but very expensive. If you want to change the filter for something noisy then go for an induction kit and make sure you give it plenty...
Should you be buying a Spider engine if you dont know whats been done to it to extract 180bhp?
Whatever it is, thats a decent bit of headwork and hot cams to make 180bhp.
Err need more info...assuming that there are no other switches on there, you must be able to choose full frequency, low pass or high pass output. The 70/100 switch will give you high or low pass at 70 or 100hz. If youre low passing to the 6x9s you want to put it at 100hz. If youre high passing...
Hill Power chip is what you want, its cheap and cheerful but dont expect miracles! Will make it nicer to drive though. If youre planning a lot of engine work at HP then stick with his chip cos he can just reprogramme it to what you want every time you mod it.
If you plan on shopping around...
No roar really with an airbox, whatevers inside it and however you route the air feed.
The HP kit is pretty loud, but then again all induction kits are loud cos youve got the throttle body open to the elements behind a thin filter.
1. Unless you have the combined skills of a wallpapering master and a plasterer with 20 years experience, dont even think about doing it yourself. Its just a waste of money and time. It is impossible to get right and its not down to laziness, you get to a stage where its actually impossible to...
DS2000 are what you want. No need to go to the DS2500 unless youre thinking about next years Le Mans.
Theyre billed as fast road pads which they are in the sense that they are not full on race pads which need warming up.A couple of touches when theyre brand new and theyre already bedded in...
Yes you need to get the drill out, just put it in place and make sure its gonna sit right first cos Sparco strut braces are notorious for not fitting very well sometimes.
I started off with -35mm PI springs and it handled better than standard, then later on I got the Koni adjustables all...
