    FAO Nick Read

Well Ive sent back the one that they sent me which was wrong. You wouldnt have thought it would be that difficult for the distributors to get right - I put in an order for a custom sized (short but fat) BMW 3.0 Z3 box - and then ended up getting the smallest and puniest of their standard...

    Handling!!

Errr well most cars will pull all over the place if youre braking hard into a corner. Thats why once youre used to the brakes and how they load up, you should brake as late and hard as possible in a straight line, then get straight on the go pedal and give it as much throttle as it will take...

    Who wants.......................

Interesting idea Joe, but if youre going for a full on transplant, wouldnt you be better just getting a 1.2, dropping in the V6 and then sorting the suspension out? PLus wont the weight of the V6 slow the car down to a certain extent, just like in the V6 Clio? Although I suppose youd have good...

Vanishing point is a phrase used in many ways, commonly in art I believe to describe the point at which the two lines of a train track or something similar will turn into a single point. Was also a wicked track on New Orders seminal Technique album.

    17’s with 60mm drop

Best way is to put them on and see what happens. If the worst comes to the worst itll be cutting some plastic out of the front wings and chucking the sh*tguards away. The back will probably go on fine.

    more air!!!

Joe, yes I am using the signal from the lama sensor and before you say it, no I am not going to drive around with a bloody great lab-quality exhaust gas analyser bolted into my tailpipe. My lamda sensor readings have been checked against external gas analysing equipment and it is reading...

hehe I knew youd have to answer that one Joe! but whatever you say, and a lot of it makes sense, as an ex-engineer I simply cannot accept theoretical arguments that dont match the facts that I see every day in my car, having experimented with many different induction systems. It is only in...
