If it becomes an issue, can't the MSA simply issue CCLBs for more disciplines? Admittedly it could come with a cost but, given that most of these categories don't require much in the way of equipment (or anything in some cases), its effectively just a box-ticking exercise.
As @harvsurrey says...
Not really taking sides I don't think. Just find it odd that people still fall foul of the cat thing when it's been the law since basically forever. People may not like it, but it's something we just have to put up with.
They are going to crack down on this stuff more and more. Like I said, we...
Baffles me that people still get upset about the catalyst thing. It's been very clear for a long time.
The other stuff is interesting. I can see a lot of people having to argue their case. Road rally cars can be all over the place in terms of spec for example.
I'm not surprised that this sort...
Who ran the guide you went on? Have always fancied the idea of trying an escorted one.
I wouldn't mind trying Spain. Corsica is quite high up my list too, as I am definitely a tarmac guy. Monte is on the list as well. I'd probably go to all of them if I could though!
Great pictures! How the WRC isn't more popular baffles me. It makes 99.99% of other motorsport look utterly pansy by comparison. Went to GB last year and the new cars are epic. Like you say, a huge step up from the previous gen machines.
Going to a WRC round abroad is very high up my list, just...
I'm afraid to say that I'm with @Cookie in that I just don't get the 940 thing at all. I drove to Italy in a 740 and Scotland in a 940. Bloody awful things in my view. You've had some lovely motors, but this one I just can't see the appeal in. Same for the BMW though to be honest, as much as...
No problem. Yeah, FRP prices are mad now. Lovely things though.
Parts prices are very Ford-esque, so pretty cheap generally. Cam belt is much simpler than on a Clio so saves some money there. They seem fairly reliable. My friends haven't had any major issues. Rust is your biggest enemy. There's...
A friend has a Puma 1.7 that he uses for track days. He picked up a 50k one with only two owners and a mountain of history for a whole £300. Another friend has also had a couple. They are great cars to be honest. They're not quick by any means, but the 1.7 lump feels revvy and willing, and the...
172 Cup, all the way. It's the most 'special' Clio after the Trophy (and V6). So many have been modified and turned into track cars, that they will become more and more rare in standard form. Will it ever be worth millions? Probably not but, as they get older and more rare, the price will creep...
I have so many of those. Pretty much every colour I think lol.
Blue one on the key for the Clio (which is blue) and a black one on the key for the Megane (which is red, but at least has plenty of black).
They do go a bit manky with time though.
I'd probably lean towards the BMW, but have never driven either. Do prefer the M3 to the M4 in terms of looks though.
I must say though, I know a couple of guys with RS Audis, an RS3 and a TT RS, and with a few mods, they sound unbelievable. Five pots are so awesome. But the fact a Golf R is...
Looks nice that. RB is definitely my favourite factory colour. A shame they tend to be quite expensive now.
You're definitely not the only person. I think they look bloody awful. They're better than Ph.2 172 wheels, but still pants.
Must have missed this thread. That looks lovely. Wheels and Cup details really do finish it off a treat. Nice to see another round here.
Can polish my Megane if you like 😂
