Dead easy just need to remove the 30mm hub nut the stearing rack ball joint and the two bolts for the ball joint.
Drop me a line if you want to pop over and do it at mine.
Cost well you could try your friendly brekaers say £40~60 for a set. Thing is whereaver you get a set from there bearing...
I'd go for a Mk2 peronally even with the extra possible problem with the more complex electrics as its a better car. However unless your going to drive it to the limit the Mk1 is a great car just for me the mk2 wou;ld be the way to go as i drive the car to the limit and the Mk1 would bite me and...
Thats with a 182 which has the better exhaust manifold and sport cat the 172 can use the 182 manifold but its about £200~300 second hand if you can get one and a few hours to fit. Then a decat or sportier ca like the 182 has is more money but need to be made to fit the 182 exhaust manifold.
Blistein have some availiable I'm sure. Apex do a set. FK do a shock I'm sure but not that popular.
Or you could just go to 58mm hubs as there more common but there a reasonable choice for either.
Its just a pain to work on. bEst thing I found is to sit upside down in the car fet on the foor head where your hell rest and work like that.
There apin to work on once you work it out you'll find out how to do it easier but never want to do it again.
Haynes is useless at a good desciption of...
Thats speeding standard. It was taken by many police forces that so long as you were no more than 105+ 2 over the limit they wouldn't charge as it would be pedantic.
If you do 31mph in a 30 its illegal but forces used to have a thing that 35mph would be ignored only over that they would...
Its not to difficult to do there a guide on the guides forum how to do pads and disks I think (It shows how to do pads I'm sure and disk are only 2 more bolts). Lines are a bit more work but either get someone to show you or get a Haynes manual although to be fair the Haynes isn't very good at...
Depends what age and milages you can pick them up for £6k or so. There one on the trader for £5k with 95k on it.
You can pick phase 1's up for even less there one up for £3.2k with 80k its been up for some time as well and thats trade price.
Yep the old Cup race rwas just the same though as well same engine with exhaust and induction work.
100hp a liters not huge look at what Honda can do 120hp a liter the S2000 I think.
You need to get a RR printout of you car to work out the optimum rpm to chnage gear it also depends on the gear your in for me I chnage from 1'st to second at 4.4k even though power drops off as second pulls the rpm down loads then chnage up at 4.2k in 2nd and third and 4k in 4th.
Get some penetrating oil wd 40 etc and spray the nuts and give them time to seap into the nuts.
Get some decinet tools though. Halfords profeshional or snap on (if your feling rich) and a decient breakers bar just go easy and work you way up. Make sure you support the car well.
If your...
I've drawn a picture to hopefully show how it should be
On the top bit of the photo shows where in yourpciture a nut should go so you don't need to top mount on to keep the shock together. It goes onto the red bit of the thread. The black circled bit goes under the bonnet to hold the shock in...
Nope load of pub talk some coilovers are very hard but that race stuff most coilovers if there correctly designed give a better ride. H and R's are often said to give better ride than stock suspension setup.
There only as hard as the setup desinged setups such as Yozzasports bleisten are said...
Nope just jack the car up remove the wheel then get the spanner on the seat where the spring sits and turn it clock/anticlock wise to lift the height.
Once you have them set up height wise to what you like. No one ever changes them though.
You should do the tracking if you adjust the height...
