    Continential premium contact (ie stock spec) (ps the premium contact 2 are different i don't like them as much) There the stock spec but in 195/50/15 as there cheaper. They last about 10k with no track days.

    How about one of those speedos from a push bike? only a few quid work off a magnet? How is it road legal without one? Demon Tweeks sell one which has a sensor on your axle and picked up by another static sensor I'll have a look tomorrow if you want.

    Standard alarms

    oes it have the light down by the gearstick and sensors on the side of the windscreen? If so it has it (it was an option). Othweise just try set it off you can tell if it has an alarm.

    Size size yes I think it does and yes about the number of teeth being the same you could just count the amount yours and the 1.2 one have to be sure.

    Stock brakes are more than fine for use including track days. Get some FK coilover or if your feeling very rich some H and R cilover get them correctly setup with soem good tyres and its very capable arguable quicker round bends than a 182.

    Nope you need a brand new ones ones which are used are locked and cannot be resued. £95 s bit steap. £40 for the unit £12 for the key and 0.40 hours to program.

    I bet you used a copycat clutch cable if so then thats your porblem aftermarkets are are useless get a proepr Renault and your probelmw ill go. Check the adjuster is working ok though as the teeth can wear causing them to slip.

    Theres only one pulley and one tensioner on the fall fats and the tension is chnaged not sure about the pulley from memory. No need to remove the cambelt to get to the AUX belt the AUX belt is on the other side of the cambelt. you have to remove the AUX belt to get to the cambelt. Service...

    It is possible just need to get the pipe made up of smash the internals out of your own or cut the old cat box out and have a bit of pipe welded inplace. Advantages are a bit more noise, power and revs a bit freer. Disadvantages are a bit more noise, You should tell insuacen so £ involved...

    172 For The Track......

    Probably not, the Cup has no ABS which weight a bit. Same gearing on the 172 full fat and Cup. The Mk1 172 has longer gearing and the 182 the longest. Brakes abn't setup for track work IMO though. Hubs are stronger on the Cup to deal with the differetncamber the Cup's ran the differences etc...

    Demon Tweeks seem poor at the moment with delivery stuff and garanteed deadlines. I suspect one reason there only one resister is some old wiring airbag diagrams only show one airbag sensor so maybe the phase 1's only had one stage airbags? I'll look into it was to busy at work to look.

    I'm looking into it got a bit of a problem wit having documents ar the wrong issue. From what ic an tell try two resisters of between 1.8 and 6 ohms (best try 2 at 4ohms)

    Ds2500's are fine PF 97 arn't meeded for most people on track you have to be truly dedicated to need them. Plus many people have complained the PF have damaged the paint on there wheels and paintwork before now if they don't wash there car a lot.

    BenR is your best bet as he modified them. I know the 172 and 182 ones are differen though so when you ask him make sure he knows your on about phase 1 and 2 172's.
