Stock brakes are fine there stunningly powerful for the car compared to many other cars. The 182 wheels are the issue they don't allow the brakes to cool.
DS2500's are the best value IMO realy for uprated brakes but more important is to sort the wheels out as stock pads are half the price of...
Yep all 172/182 calipers are the same
I've got one £40. Its from a Full fat 172 182 Cuped packs are different but only in relation to hub spacing nothing related to brakes.
Yep but it woulnd't be a bit extra its a lot extra.
Migh as well get one from a breakers yard cheaper an dget Renault to fit it instead of the stock one when they replace it.
You need the engine and loom plus ECU.
Radiator is a good idea.
Also driveshafts and gearbox depend what swop your doing.
The Mk1 are nice and easy to fix in this respect.
Not bad the swop its the wiring etc which will take time
Whilst a jack like this is great it not if your not going to use it. I'd get a piece of wood and push/ drive the car onto it and use a normal jack my Williams was very low (more than that was usable on road) and I never had a proper using that plus it was a lot cheap.
If they tried removong the injecotr they'd have a right problem as trying to block it back up would be near impossible with the high pressure the lines run.
Best idea is to check the loom thats the easy cheap answer make sure there no shorts then have the injector replaced but unless the...
Forget the Monaro thats the popular easy option.
How about the white Mk2 sheel being totally gutted down to the last gram space framed and track speced?
When setup for the track (since its only fair to comapir it when setup for more than 1/4 mile) I'd say it would win on the faster ciruit as said its one hell of a quick car. Even if its 10mph slower on the bends and 1mph=10hp Matts still ahead by about 100hp plus his cars lighter since he's got...
Disconneting an injectors near impossible as the system owrk son massive pressure most likly they unplugged the injecotors wiring. If they don't knwo what there on about get the car taken elsewhere the dci engine a bit of a electronics lover.
Unlikly cylinder has gone most likly injectors bust. There £200 each new or so but second hand egine arn't that much even a brand new is £1.4k from Matt black crated up.
You need a better diagnostic than that though there enought cables in the dci engines Renault or someoen with there...
I'd love to see a quick devr done maybe even with the 1.5 engine but the cost of the bits is above what you'd be looking at injecotrs would be £1.5k for a start. Then gearboxes arn't winners. What about a 1.9 VAG TDI engine 200hp is easy out of them with a remap on the 150's realy plus the...
So long as they've not made a mistake there nothing wrong maybe the exhaust is blocked up but you should notice this realy. You migh also find you've got something in the intake.
Anayway it depends what the garage are used to a 1.2 feels slow caompared to a 2.0 car if there compariring it to...
They might notice the shortert shafts. You could always buy the drivers side one I've got which is gaterless if you want (sorry to plug).
Yep different is huge Renault did this for a reason.
Best change all the ball joints top mounts and anti roll bars its not much extra.
The setting off could be axle tramp most likely you need a new dogbone mount covered under Renault warently.
This might also fix the gearbox issue as it could be the mounts allowing the engine to move to much hence diffiuclt to change gear.
If you shop around stock Renault copy part can be bought for £90 or so.
Atermarket there loads of chocie. The Ktec stealth is popular you might pick one up on the forum even now and again.
Ooops I cannot type.
I've tried to do a search but you need the catalogue and i don't have one rng Demeon tweeks they have a few copies of the catalogue they can get you prices and part numbers.
Yep, some are still on stock exhaust I don't expect to see any 172's on stock exhaust in 5 year f if they are the'll be very rare or been modified with an extra mount to siz the inbuilt design fault with the system.
Yep you could not many cars were made wans't the most popular colour ever realy. I think less than 10 were made.
I never realy though the colour suited the car plus its green which I've always found unlucky.
It was an ID colour same as liquid yellow so a £1.4k (list price) option.
