Yep its been done before but for they money its not worth it there much better ways to more power.
There one been done in portugula and one in Spain I think. The Spainish one was done year ago as a magazine feature the owner got so fed up they bought a 172 in the end (the job wasn't done to...
Ferrodo DS2500 pads are a popular choice. There are more racy brakes out there ie PF97 and DS3000 but there more expensive. Stock disks are perfect realt forget any drilled etc ones.
Emply your pockets its big money this.
A 2.0 engine is a better staing point.
I think the S1600 have forged bottom ends so that £6k before you look at throttle bodies £3k ish plus cams (£1k ish). Then the gearbox won't stand much abuse so you need to look at that plus the clutch.
Use the R5GTT 1.4 engine its much better and easier. otherwise you'll be doing custom work to make your ngine into a turbo it could be done but expensive and not as good as a GTT engine.
if you want to do a GTT conversion buy a whole GTT as you'll need a load of bits off it.
With big spacers kit they come usually with bolts if you go to a reputabel supplier or they should at least mention it to you as bolts that big usually arn't in stock as such.
Its most likly you've stoped with hot brakes and left your foot on the brake pedal. The pads stick to the disk then whenyou set of some of the hot pad sticks to the disk hence making it uneven.

Yep thats a standard one.
Easy way to tell is does it work off the fob or is there a second remote for the alarm. The proper alrm is inbuilt into the stock fob as such.
Don't do it just get a new shafts or else buy the proper tools, but the price of the tools means getting a new shaft is the same price usually plus you've still got to fix it.
The alternator (assuming its a phase 1 ie a Valeo A13 VI259 one) should make 13.5 volts
At engine speed
1.5k 26A
2k 57A
4k 95A
Its a 110 Amp system
If its a Cup alternator its Valeo A11 VI88 (Cups use a special alternator)
voltage on them should be between 13.5 and...
Its infront of the engine wedged down in about the middle of the car between the engine and radiator.
Its a pain to do. Best advice is to get a proper filter removal tool then you'll work you own way of getting it out I moved it above from up above then droped id down and work underneither...
Its a common problem the popular choice it to have the stearing arm welded up.
