MPG depends how you drive but you'd need to spend a bit to get 150hp out.
Most lilly the best value is cams manifold work exhaust IK maybe head work total bill is £3k ish.
A 172 transplant is a better way to do about it. £1.5k+vat for the parts and assuming you find a fgarage the'll charge...
I think you need to look after my car for a bit.
Very good though you've got to much time though to clean your car that much.
I've eaten off things dirtier than your car.
Re: I think I f**ked the coilover fitting FRED I NEED YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep you need the old spinny bearing (part 3 on that Renault drawing on the linked post earlier in the thread.
Then put the bung on (the one you have in your hand) then put the small metal bit which sits inside the...
£10 a day for under group 14 or somehting £20 for over minimum of 21 years old I think. I think the website is somehting like dayinsure.com.
Not much you cna do there only 2 companies who offer it from memory might be worth trying your own insurer.
Are you saying you missed out part 3 on the drawing in the thread.
the easy way to know if you've done it right is does the big rubber bung bit
(the second bit down in this drawing)

can spin round on the part 3 of the...
It is supposed to promote more power but the extra heat if you wrap the whole exhaust I think can lead to damage as the pipes behind the manifold arn't desingend to cope with the extra heat.
I'm not sure I'd remove the heat sheield which is there now I'd fix it there always things you can do.
Check if you get a spark might be a loose wire in the ignition system.
Is the starter motor actually turning the engine as they arn't that good if it isn't turing the engine anyway the ignition won't fire. Have u tried bump starting it that would explain if its a starter motor issue.
Re: Urgent help needed!!!
Somtimes the people who know the answers don't notice the posts were only human.
Just bump a thread up and someone will notice it who know the answer.
Expecting an answer this quick (15 minutes) seems a bit unrealistic or have I got something wrong?
I've...
£250 for the cambelt to be done usually.
£50 for a pump
Coolent chnage say £35
Normal service say £100
Gearbox oil chnage £30
So its not a bad price realy.
Personally I'd get the cambelt and pump done and do the rest yourself is not difficult a bit tricy but top spec parts ie Millers...
Its the best starting point.
Matt's car which whilst is a Mk2 shell (ie hevier) with 430hp or so is probably on slicks quicker than an FQ400 but its built for the drag strip.
I don't think cam timing are to blame you'd have way more trouble (not sure the engine would ever work the valves would mangle up on startup).
Could be the coolent temperature senor there quite comon to fail but usually the problem at high not low temps.
Forget it FQ-400 are supercar quick. Your only chnace is for them to break down (the 400's arn't that reliable from what I've heard might be down to owners though).
The conversion well the bits for a 172 conversion are £1.5k+vat from Matt Black off here but you'll end up[ chnaging bitsso the...
1) Specify 1 or 2 good things about FCS06. Not bad in general realy.
2) Specify 1 or 2 bad things about FCS06. Track surface was abismal and track layoout very dull just flat out, Idiots driving up and down the runway.
3) Specify 1 or 2 things you would like to see at FCS07. Better...
A 100hp shot doesn't always give 100hp might be just 50hp.
16V_Jon had a 75 shot in hit 1.2 and blew the piston up after a bit I wouldn't bother a 172 conversion is much better cheaper and you get the power all the time.
The stock clutch and gearbox won't handle the power the clutch will...
If the ABS light come on then goes off after a second or so when the cars started and it doesn't skin in tests (unlikly) then its fine.
Thew Mk1's ABS system isn't that good it might just have been slow to respond or your were driving to slow (under 10 or so MPH it doesn't work)
