    Thats not very dirty. Don't wash it for 6 month then see what it looks like. Then again best not otherwise the paintwork will be ruined.

    I never run down to the red line (only even seen I once in 68k) but it should do about 420 or so. Dci 65hp model.

    Could be a TDC censer what model is it might help. Assuming its a newer Clio then Renault are your best bet get them to plug into your car and see what faults have been logged.

    Time to chip...

    Custom remap is the only way to go. IE Chipwizards/Yozzasport/(Another company my name escapes me) etc. Chruis and Nics is quick but then again it was quick anway it is just for some reason a quick one.

    I'd recomend TRenault Chester but there a long way for you and there not cheap depends what you want the cheapest last time I needed a service was Lewis Read Birkenhead but it I only go there for a stamp I don't trust them.

    Depends how much money you have you could do a lot but gains arn't going to be more than about 140hp or so unless you start spending a fortune on the bottom end bits. Best thing is to sort the brake and handling out Custom Leda/Blistein/FK setps (Fk's will be chepest) with matching anti roll...

    £1.5k as said from matt black for the bits then fit it yoursefl say a week. Also budget to chnage other bits when the engine out ie cambelt clutch bushes etc as its easy when the engine out of the car.

    There all Lucus caliper the 172 and 182 use. Infact there all the same caliper.

    I'd go for aftermarket coilovers if your out of warently and have some spare £ but there not cheap. ~£50 you'll be expecting to pay (Renault prices chnage a lot) best chnage both sides at once. They'll last somwhere between 1 second and 100 years. Its a total mystery some last a few month...

    Type doesn't realy matter any decient expensive stuff is adequate unless you intend track days etc.

    Nope, normally aspirated engine just like mr Honda liked I belive. They make there power due to better designed engines (BenR is them man to talk to about this) and higher RPM.

    There so much desinged to do there 300hp limit (i'm sure they make 330hp now adays) that removing the limiter won't do much.

    You can get soe serious Hp out of a 2.0 if you want depends how it is after all the F1 engines were 3.0 and made about 900~100hp I think so a 2.0 in thery if allowed to rev would make 600hp+ The 172 engine can be tunned fgiven enough money (forged bottom end etc) to about 350hp.

    Normally alpine but there was a few different options can be fitted. If its even been in for warently work on it you might find a different one fitted.

    Mk2 172 shocks.

    Its covered under warently ring Renault UK to get your money back getting the money off them for the labour isn't worth even trying. Shocks arn't covered but in the fitness for purpose act they have to survive a suitable lenght of time.

    Depends how the conversion was done shouldn't be to difficult Mk1 electircs etc are easy.

    Has it got washer jets and zeons as whiclst they can be fitted easily there not normal. CB1N means both Cup and Mk2 phase 2 unfortunatly.

    No Cup was over made with ABS. Easy way to find out is to look for the sensors on the wheel or the ABS computer on Cups they don't exist. The DVLA have often put Cups down as 172's

    What oil..

    Eihtert can be used. 10-40 can only be used down to -15 degrees and Renault normally use 5-40 thats why 5-40 is recomended I've never bothered with 5-40.

    Buying Cup with Finance left?

    £6.5k seems a bit high but least you know what your buying regads servicing etc. You can pay the finace company off though they transfere the title over to you and you pay the owner the extra.
