Milage would never put me off if the price is right that sort of milage is nothing remember the 72k service is when the belts are chnaged so its expensive though. The 172 engine realy get quicker with regualr servicing and milage particualy if its hard driven milage.

The only issue you may have if you start getting serious rust but treat it and properly when you drill the holes and you'll be fine.

PS The dci did a 2.30 on the 9th.
The Billbongs were just dynamics with a CD player as standard (earlier dynamics had it as an option which almost everyone too up plus it had some different coloured setas and some stickers etc but it was the same price as a dynamic with a CD player.
As for making it quicker chnage the oil...
The Cup use a mechanica speedo from the gearbox just like upto the 2001 July spec (I think thats the date) 172 use. The later 172 and 182 use the ABS system to get there speedo readings from.

Matt blacks sell the bits £1.5k+vat includes gearbox electrics etc.
I'd try get a Mk2 phase 1 engine personally as I prefere the better throttle response. Matt I think gets more Cups in though.
I need a longer gearbox. My box hits 4k at 100 but there more in the engine It goes to an indicated 122 or so. Longer box and I recon 130 with some help.
You cna fit them yourself not difficult.
Shocks were anyway mine are gone with stock springs lowering springs will mean the shocks were faster. How long they last depends on so many things.
The Renault sport models arn't of a serious enought production run to make a Haynes manul for them.
