Just unplug the second sensor after a while the warnig light will come on but there nothing you can do the 182 ECu is programmed differently the 172 is fine unplug the sensor and it works fine the 182 is different.
There not a huge amount in 65 to 80 difference wise the 80 suffer heat lag (its not that bad though on the 65).
The 100 is good shame the engine derated for the grearbox but thats life.
Personally if your going to modify depending on insurer I'd get the 65 the gearbox isn't the limiting factor...
The newer car should weight more (usually do) so that might even it out.
Also older engines can someotimes be less efficient than from new so a comparison is difficult.
I'm sure the Williams was advertised as 32mpg adverage MPG which is about the same as the 172.
Matt Blacks got 400hp and Jon_16V 180hp or so and as far as I know neither has overheated there brkaes and they both run stock drums at the back.
I track mine a lot and never had any trouble Renault said mine are cracked but there fine.
The back brakes do very little.
Only the 100dci came with rear disks.
Seems like its a direct fitment the issue isn't with fitment but with the abs sensors but it would seem there the same so you shouldn't have any issue people stuck 172 stuff in 1.2's without abs issues so you shouldn't have any just swopping rear...
Whats do you mean by better? A tropy is better a Leda dampered 182 is better a Porche is better a dci Clio is better.
You pay your money you take the issues and advanatges and disadvantages of the car.
I wouldn't swop a 182 for a 197 personally unless you realy want to spend your money (or...
You cannot warp disk on a Clio they don't have enough power to do that. True warping of disk would require massive braking from stupid high speeds.
Its not a bad price but i take it you had this done not at Renault?
You should have just gone to Renault for the service (£100 to £150 depends...
You don't need to remove the nut (its a30mm one which should be very tight) PM me your email address and I'll send you the file on how to cahnge the disks
You need to remove the caliper and caliper bracket instead.
You've no room to speak Matt your car wants to be a VW product. By weight alone your car must be 50% VW. Then again maybe your a closet VW owner.
Being as this cars not drivining back and forth to the 1/4 mile why not stick another engine in the back?
Re: lowred 182 - headlights are sh*t
I'm not sure what you mean but the lights operate of the sensor on the back suspension beam thre setup so that when the backs wheels are lower then the lights adjust when you lower the car the sensor realises this and lowers the beam but since the front's...
Seat Ibiza?
I wouldn't personally go for the Yaris my brothers got one and I'm not that impressed the Clios better made and put together and seems made of a better standard bits.
PM me your email address I'll send you the file on how it should be done you realy need to Renault tooling otherswise you'll make a mess typical Renault made its unusual to do.
Yep under 10k is what you should be looking.
Depending how bad the sales have been going they maybe willing to make a good deal. Try at the end of the month though as this is when hey will want the sales if they have had bad months.
there are places ie http://www.broadspeed.com/ who will sell...
Yep it will set the light off the 172's can just deconnect the second sensor and the light doen't come on the 182 throws a light after a while.
It will improve power slighty but its make it more responsive which is more important.
Fred I'm reasonably sure its the new block like you have.
Ram air is what there advertising as being the thing getting the extra power (they calim over 100% cylinder filling ro somthing which cannot be ture as its less than 10% more power and the old car only had 82% cylinder filling).
The...
You already have a Renault sport ECU.
Do you mean an R Sport (the popular aftermarket one) in which case there isn't one for the 182 yet as far as i know Yozzasport were looking ino having one made but instead do custom remaps for only a bit more which is much better value.
Or do you mean a...
Its a bargin £100 off just for asking.
Sorry I though £299 sounded wrong when I wrote it I should have worked out the price.
Humm if I can get the Williams sold then I'll be having a demo set.
Yep, best get both done together as the aux belt has to come off to do the cambelt anyway.
Only get people who know how to do the 172 engine to work on it a cambelt chance if done wrongly or not with the Renault tooling can be disasterious.
The spec is here...
