You'll top out at about 102 on a dci 65 maybe 110 on the 80 (this is realy speed not clock speed) So there no point in bigger tyrs you just don't have the power you'd need about 130hp to get 120hp maybe more power plus you need to stay in the power band which when remapped seems to be about 4k...
The SERV and AIRBAG lights come on its a common problem (almost every has it) its due to the wiring of the pretensioners going to an open circuit. Fiddle with the wires under the seat an the problem will go away.
On the early cars the solution is to look under each of the seats. You will see a...
Normal Clios have a random selection a few use 54mm spaced other popular sizes are 52 and 58mm (this if so Mk2 phase 1's)
The Mk2 phase 2 none RS cars ie 1.2 dci etc use 58mm hubs apart from a few early 1.2's
1.5hrs to get the fitted if you take your time so say £60 put people on here will do it for less its not difficult.
No discount as far as I know I think there very good value anyway.
Stock setups not bad at all very well priced and no nasty dust etc plus no insurance implications.
http://www.yozzasport.co.uk/ are very good value.
Fitment look at 1.5hrs fitment if the place works at a reasonble rate so say £35 a hour thats £60 or so but people of here will do it for less its not difficult I did mine in the car park accross the road from my house.
Dot 4 stuff probaly quite a cheap stuff comes to the factory most likly in un marked barrels so no idea.
Yep its a DIY job I'm writing a guide at the momnent I'll hopefully get it finished this week at work.
A garage will do it in about 40 minutes Renault charage about £40 including there...
Its not that easy Renault Clip laptops allow you to upload new ECU files but unless you can get hold of a suitable remap (and you cannot) then its useless. Renault specialist tunners who can remap cars are better off.
Group N maps arn't ideal there just slightly modified maps with higher rpm...
Stock setups great realy if you've no problems keep with it and get the brembo disk as there cheaper than standard Renault ones (£55 from yozzaspsort I think vs £75 from Renault). Stock pads are only £40 or so.
I wouldn't think so at all that 2.0 levels look st what the 172 get with those mods % wise it would get a 172 to about 190hp (less than 25% more power) a 1.6 is 110. 25% more is 137 or so.
To do a 172 transplant the price includes all the bits you need you need the whole lot clocks, engine...
Yes and no you need to get to the cambelt to get to that you have to remove the aux belt to do this Renault say remove the front bumper but you can do it with the bumper and drivers side light in place it depends how you want to do it.
Sorry yep I made a mistake 172/Cup /182 none cuped packed cars are 54mm
182 with Cup packs/trophys have 60mm hub spacing.
Don't know why I wrote 58mm I've got a172 one here I'd only been measuring a few hours earlier.
Easyish.
Get to work now you might make the next meet.
For the moment just bodge the throttle boy so it runs at 4k all the time you remember what thats like don't you?
I'm even more gutted I could have saved myself £21 by only paying for half the year.
Goverment are ripping me of at the moment I could have paid £50 road fund.
Rant over ;-)
Should go on with 5 liters left in the tank but you can have anywhere between 4 and 6 realy due to tolerances in the tank sensor.
I can do about 80 miles I think according to the tank never checked though.
Best contarct BenR on her eor Yozzasport (links at the top of most of the forums). However its not cost effective realy you cna get 172 suspension brakes gearbox engine all you need for make a 172 powered car for £1.5k+vat from MATT BLACK on here ok so you've got to fit it but its172 reliable...
When you thing sell your car for however much you'd be best buying a whole valver for the swop sso say £500 then the work and bits you need say another £100 in parts thats not ar of what you cna get Williams or a 1.8 16V for.
Renault dealers claim the cost of repairs back from Renault for all the years of the warently so the dealer has to be sure they'll get paid. Otherwise the dealer will have done the work and won't get paid. Thats whay they don't like mods as they maybe to blame hence they won't gget paid back...
Nope mounts will be different you'll need the 3, 16V mounts
1) The dogbone
2) The one on the drivers side engine top mount
3) The one the battery sits on.
Use the valver box i don't think a 1.4 would even fit to small clucth for starters 1.4 used the JC1 boxes valvers use JC3
Struts are a...
Personally its one of the reason I've not got a 172/182 costs are very high particulaly if like me you do a load of miles.
Paying over £1k for insurance seems a waste IMO its £3 a day for what insurance nothing else there are other things to spend your money on.
