Ever tried to see if you can get hold of stock pads cheaper as I'm sure theres a market for standard pads as if you can get them for £35 or so then it makes a combined price for disk and pads £80 which is a bargin. Loads of people don't need any better.
Disk are £70 or so i think for the front pair
Back are expensive £170 or so I think but you have to remember most places sell them without the bearings or if they do they don't sell them with the bearings pressed in which ups the cost.
Rear pads are £60 or so front are £40 or so (I think)...
There naturally twitch depends how you drive check tyre pressure as that makes a difference.
Viper is the best but pricy, exhaust well thats down to preference many people go down the custom route. Yozzasport do a range but there quite noisy Ktec do a quietish one which is hidden.
Chip...
Same as the sump nut on any Clio.
I've forgotten the part number there only a coulpe of quid but Halford ones are idential and cheaker (£3 I think incluing a new sump washer).
It is illegal.
I've seen therse two at an Oulton track day never found the owners though, there only light trailers and cars (caterhams) so they shouldn't be that bad.
I don't like Toyos at all but a lot of epopel do I thik in 16 spec there not bad.
I'd go for Conti sports or F1's or GSD3 or whatever there called infact I'd run bald remolds rarther than Toyos again.
£250~400 for a bottom end (prices seem to depend on so many factors plus you need the correct sized starter motor)
£100 for an engine out
£100 for the engine back in
£100 for striipping the head down and swopping as such.
When its out its work changine bits whcih if they ever fail will cost...
Whats do you mean by gone down it maybe just a poor connection and cleaning the keys will make it work.
You cannot cut it out though its integrated stand along ecu is your only option beyond fixing it which is more expensive.
Depending where she is Matt black or Mike @Rentech will be the...
Lucus.
Ferodo FDB 845 there the same as fitted to the Williams and 1.8 16V Clios as well as the Renault 5GTT (maybe places don't list pads for your car but there the same pads). There £17.99 from Halfords. I do a lot of track days in my car with thesse pads and stock disk without problem. The...
Some people claim it helps MPG and makes idle and low rpm running smoother but it won't give any more power the GTI uses a turbo which it matters more to.
Sachs didn't have any in stock a while back infact they needed some old dampers back to build some new ones.
I'd guess since the cars such a rare model that spare shocks will be a pain to get hold of Renault did look at making a Trpohy spec pack constisting of all the sachs dampers springs...
You'll have to try and get hold of the shocks they only made enough for the cars they made there no spares.
Best up[grade is to come good quality coilover/new dampers from Blistein/Leda etc.
I'd day get a new/second hand engione send it to the specialists and let them build it up and dyno it and build up the ECU mapping on a stand alone ECu (since you'll be going to throtttle bodies you'll need a stand alone ECU).
Why not start with a 172 engine transplant Matt Black will sell you...
Thats a good price but they not including the Aux belt which has to be chnaged at 36k the Renault price probablu included this belt being changed.
You can just book the car for the belt at Renault and the service anywhere else if you want just like the 72k service for me is £210 howver at 72k I...
Re: I've raped my 182!! - 56k Warning!!!
