Get somoen to come out with you and look at the rpm and speedo see if somehting is wrogn with the clucth the rpm will go up and the speedo won't go up at the same rate as the clucth isn't holding it.
Depends what bit is taller I assume he means the shock body if so then I'd want to know what shocks they had installed.
However so long as you don't hit the bump stops you should be fine (there the rubber bit ontop of the strut body).
Forget the idea buying a car with climate is much better value unless you get the parts for free.
For starters you'd need
New aux belt with associated pump for the gas.
controls for the car.
ECU changing or least Renault chnaging the software so it knows aicon is present so it increases rpm...
Hill power would have been the people to set your cams when they mapped it (I assume it was mapped with the cams?).
Best modification IMo is a 2.0 Megan/Williams bottom end.
You know me I'm cheap and the dci doesn't need any more the Williams has better calipers so overheat isn't an issue.
Your right though 172/182 if you drive very hard (like you can) would need better fluid.
Still I'm lazy I always forget and end up buying from Halfords.
Go to Halfords and buy one of there eazy bleed one make kits £20 or so. Then get the fluid, Halfords sell the super dot 4 stuff whcih I've found fine for use.
Then stick the screw on top on the brake reservoir then check you've got a good seal by attaching a tyre to the relevent pipe. If air...
Yep Millers stuff is superb.
I didn't know they did a 50-40 they didn't last time i checked so i ended up usng 10-60 which for me is more suitable but 5-40 is the optimum for Clios.
Omar's had a 225 and gone back to a 182 so he is probaly a good source of info (Pm him for information on them both).
Pros of the 225.
Bigger car
Safer
Great engine
6 speed gearbox
Cons
Expensive to buy
MPG isn't amazing
Massive tunning potential isn't realy there
Heavy
182
Pros...
That doesn't sound right for a spring kit. It doesn't matter the hub bolt spacing only if you get new dampers. So long as there designed for about the right engine weight (there usually 2 specs one for 1.2 16V/1.2's the other for 1.4/1.6/dci's) then they will be fine.
I'd personally go with...
You bolt the wheels to the hubs normally.
Spacers fit between the hub and the wheels.
Basically there just pushing the wheel further and further out.
Spacers come in a few different tyres there are universal one like Demon Tweeks sell etc which fit any wheel there just basically a round plate...
They did a n evo car of the decade which the Williams got 6th place or something the problem is finding one which is in an as good as new condition with original parts (they tend to get modified now even if its just exhaust decat etc).
I've no idea which cars you've driven but a Williams is...
Yes.
You need a friend to work those one person valves plus need to keep toping up the rerservior and they crack down the side of the rubber tube that why I got a pressure bleeder.
Even if you have a friend (my weekness) better get them to make you a cup of tea than get them pushing a brake...
Bin it anyay IMO. How much is a blow out/you/outhers lives worth.
The only time you'll ever agree with me though for definate is if you ever (unluckily) were to have a blow out at high speed.
Even if you only injour yourself or the car you'll always think what if someone had been there and how...
Driveshaft retaining nut 280NM this should be replaced ever time as its a self locking one I've never bothered as I'm stupid and cheap I just use thread locking compound with no problems but for £2 or so its not worth risking it probably.
Wheel nuts (holding the wheel on) 90NM
The nut which...
From your description of the problem its probaly just the transponder ring (a common failing).
You shouldn't need two new keys just a new transponder ring which isn't that much (£30 I think or so) and you can replace it yourself.
Its unusal to want to try and replace the keys maybe a recode...
Thats the two person kit the easy bleed is a one person kit.
The Eazi bleed one person is much better and if you've got £280 quid spare the one motorfactories sell which uses battery power is even better but its expensive.
A better idea is to go for a 2.0ttom end for power instead.
I'd think you'll be looking at 170hp but it will depends what cams you have AWT cams make more power (in a better rev range) than Piper etc.
If you want throttle bodies you'll need a stand alone ECU as no one can program the standard...
Check your subframe as well whilst your at it as this can bend easily. Also check struts etc for damage just incase.
Which side did you damage as this can affect how difficult fixing the driveshaft is.
I'll post the torque values up later.
You can buy most of the bits elsewhere ie intercoolers from scrap yrads of Demon Tweeks etc for much less the ECU remapable chip from fashchip the turbo from any turbo place so long as you know the spec you want. the only one which would be difficult is the exhaust manifold you might end up...
He's busy enough on the phone with enquiries I'm suprised he ever answers Pm's.
Just keep ringing him back though.
Ask for Matt (don't think people who answer the phone will know why j3ned is)
Dot 4 is what you want.
Demon Tweeks are probably the cheapest.
I like the none RS brakes in many ways more than the RS Clios brakes.
Easy to bleed the system go to halfords and buy one of there azy bleed one make kits £20 or so. Then get the fluid, Halfords sell the super dot 4 stuff whcih...
There supposed to be the Cup racer brake vents, designed to cool the brakes.
Proper price for new ones is £200 or so.
You take the foglights out and replace them with them.
You don't need them you can just run without any liners jut make sure you underseal where the arches would normally protect ever few months.
You don't need spacers but you need them for the wheels to look right as the wider arches won't look right with the wheels closer in the arches.
It would seem so yes.
Noone has tried it though but since you can 172 setup a normal car with drum rears and still have ABS it would apear that both drums and disks use the same number of rear teeth for the abs sensors.
Whilst everyone on here (including me) has said rear drums are fine I've...
None Renault sport cars Mk2 phase 2 and 3 (i.e. ones with triangular type lights)
Servicing (UK only)
Normal servicing is done ever 18k or 2 yrs there is a 1 month/1k tolerance so you can have it done up to 25month or 19k before any warranty implications. Beyond this time/warranty period...
They achive that 0-60 speed with one of the few different ratio gear boxes availiable.
Other boxes/ ratios are designed for other top speed/speed ranges.
The dti is chippable to 130hp or so maybe 150 if you push things with custom remap intercooler etc but its not huge. A better idea is a 1.9 dci or 2.2 dci engine as they have more power as standard (150hp stock on the 2.2 chippable to 180 safly).
The 1.9 dti does fit easily as it was fitted to...
The alarm fitted to all Clio’s is made by Cobra it can be Renault branded though. Also the Cobra alarm can be modified by dealers so although the notes below hold true if the alarm has been modified by Renault then some of the times etc may not be the same.
How to tell if there is one fitted...
