    Get one of those bike chain thingies from Halfords etc there ony a few quid well worth it the job isn't any easier. Its not recomended that you stick a screddriver though them as you can break bit of the filters which will end up in the engine. I know many new 1.8 and Williams had to have them...

    Its difficult, if you can get hold of cheap cars it can be cheaper just to sell them on. Best idea personally would be to buy a car and strip it for parts, cars are often worth more in pieces than as a whole.

    In a normal gearboxed car if you jack it up and spin one wheel the other will spin in the oposite way thats just normal not sure what happens with an LSD though.

    Front Dampers

    Theyre 99.9% likly to be he 58mm ones. Only way to be sure is if you measure them. Its the distance between the two bolts which bolt the strut to the hub. If you stick th wheel on full lock you can see the bolts.

    Brakes too sharp

    If the master clyinder had gone the pedal would as simon said go to the floor there very little resistance. It could just be that your not used to the brakes as they are. Most peoples problems with brakes are down to them not being good enough not being to good.

    182 Engine mount probs

    Get some copper grease and stick that down the sides of the mount then get a G clamp or spring compressors and squeese the outside of the mount to it holds the worn inner bit better.

    They will be about as difficult the 1.8 might be slighly more difficult but it won't be much. The rsi engine has the advnatge of low end power the 16V needs to be reved more.

    Its an 80 liter an hour at 3 bar which is about 250hp safly. I think j3ned used the same pump in his car which ran out of fuel on a turbo engine (they run richer) at 280~290hp).     Won't be much different than an RSI swop. Personally I'd buy a crashed car or similar you can pick 1.8 16V with rusting rear arches for £300 or so then just swop everything.

    Cup suspension Conversion

    You can get both better suspension and brakes fitted aftermarket than Cup or 172 stuff. As Fred said FK coilovers or similar and 4 pot brakes will do better tha Cup stuff.

    Check the one on the drivers side that can be a problem. Best fix I know is Omars one which is to copper grease in the gaps and then get some spring compressors etc and sweeze the outer part of the mount so it holds the inner part more firmly.

    £6k for a proper job lowering compresion pistons etc. Thats drive in and out though with an uprated clucth. The clucth is a week point thats one week point and the engine to make any more than about 210hp needs lowered compression pistons and thats costs.
