A remap is just a changed set of injection and fueling maps. The more air an engine intakes due to a more efficient manifold the more fuel it needs to make more power or just to ensure the air fuel mixture doesn't run lean. Ever cars fueling needs are different the maps they leave the factory...
I take it you've had you 12k service done they should have told you then how badly the pads were worn or topped up the brakes fluid so this shouldn't have happened.
Different drivers go through pads at different rates so I you may have worn your pads you might have barly touched them.
SUmp plug shouldn't leak there put in strong enough by Renault (I'm sure they use a breakers bar). I'd think it will be the top manifold gasgets have a look down around where the intake manifold goes into the head where you might find some oil. Also check the oil filler cap as oil can leak from...
I'd recomend both springs and dampers you can get APEX and other kits for about £200~250. I wouldn't bother with just springs personally as you'll just wear the dampers so there no point just saving in the sort term as you'll have to pay the same again to swop the dampers later in life.
Diesels do make more noise at idle but modern disels are remarkably quiet when there moving.
Even with a lead foot I still get 55mpg out of my car (65hp dci).
Compare that with my Williams which would get about 32 on the same route thats a fair increase.
The new Clio RS won't have a turbo. Everyone on here who knows has said so and even the Renault brand manger Jerrery who's posted on the thread has agreed.
The twin scroll turbo is some fancy turbo which is supposed to reduce lag and increase low rpm boost I think.
The rear bumper is a direct fit no arch trouble. The front bumber requires the 172/182 wings though as well and the arches. You could always just go without arches and make sure you underseal the arches ever few months.
The resevoir is under the engine cover round the bvack of the engne by the firewall.
Remove the cover and look down the back by the drivers feet and you'll see it.
Its very likly to be that and if it is you might be needing new pads as thats what the warning is supposed to show although its...
Not much can be done to the manifold just clean it.
Cams are supposed to be good I've yet to drive a standard car though much but in my experiance it is fun realky gives he car some kick at high rpm.
I'd get the mapping done on the standard ECU personally by Hillpower.
Lunner I'd definatly recomend taking the whole hub and shock off in one its easier. My bolts holding the shocks on are solid so all I did was undo the top strut bolt stearing arm bit and the two bolts for the botom ball joint on the wishbone and slid it out. the ypou've got some space as you can...
Theres no way there just 0.1 second between the Fiesta and 182 on the ring more likly 30 seconds.
The Fiesta is a good car but its not a hot hatch like the 182 there 30hp for a start missing. Its warmish hot hatch.
You'll usuauly find dampers and springs come as better value as a set you can get sports dampers and spring sfor about £200~250 though in a few different spec APEX etc.
Throttle bodies sound amazing but unless your willing to pay probaly close on £10k you won't see 250hp. Yoz has TB's head work cams exhaust and high compression pistons and is only at 225~230hp. I'd just go for normal throttle bodies your looking at £3.5~4k I think fully fitted and mapped and...
Its easy to do.
Rust will be the biggest problem.
PS if you want my advice take the hub thing off the car then soak the parts (and I mean realy soak) in penetrating oil before you start then the bit which has the bolt through which hold this in place wedge it open and hammer the old ball joint...
Its happened before Renault UK I think paid out in the end its a problem as the sensors are quite delicate so a stone knock in the wrong place can se them off.
they won't have to replace all the airbags or write the car off. They will only write a car off if there a huge majour problem and all...
Your are looking at £3k for a company to do it obviously mates rates etc will lower it and if a company want to do it as a demo then costs might be lower.
Since you need the gearbox stripping down it might be worth having the ratios changed at the same time.
You won't get satnav. I'd go for a first free service if they're relay late try get the 12 and 24 k service but I think any more than the first one would be good.
Looks like every company under the sun has stopped this 3rd party cover unless your over 25 the only one I've foudn who don't are HIC but they have a clause where the car needs to be insured by someone else.
Anyone any recomendations for how to drive a car 3rd party.
None of the above mentioned companies let you drive another car third party if your under 25. If you think they do then ring them up again i got told by one company I could. I rang back to check and they said only if your over 25.
Drop Yozza a Pm I'm sure he can remember the company who sell them.
Gripper do one but its £800 or so unfitted.
Theres another company who make them but I cannot remember there name.
The cat on the 172 is quite restrictive the 182 one is much better for flow. Personally I'd definatly change the cat even before the exhaust. You'd need the ecu To be remapped to get the best from those mods the group N one won't be perfect to your cars engine.
Don't expect 20hp or so 5hp maybe...
