Pop unto Renault and ask for the details they can instaly find out all the detaisls including emgine number etc.
What the detials stand for etc is shown http://erc.qmuc.ac.uk/cliosport/gallery/full/1094076085__Ovalplate.jpghere.
Fred dynamic has changed his wheel for an aftermarket one without an airbag.
Drop him a message but hes away on holiday at the moment so dont expect an instant reply.
Its not a huge job removing the wheel but you have to remember to solder in a 1.8 to 6.2ohm (I think thats the value)...
Personally Id disagree that the Yaris (least the ones Ive seen) are better put together and better designed than the similar spec Clio.
My parents looked at getting a Yaris last year and they (and me) were very disapointed in it. The dash rattled, the parts seemed flimsy and it was noisy...

Perhaps you should read the published differences. The publised 182 Cup vS none Cup differences are 3mm however Im not sure if thats down to different spring height or different setup. The 172 Cup Vs 172 Mk2 stock setup figures are...

You all forget thet the geometry is set up for all road types. MK1 172 rolled more than MK2. Thicker roll bars to start. Same roll bars infact the only difference was the setup ie camber etc, the MK1 weighted less than the Mk2 and a Mk1...
172 Mk2 personally
is the CTR worth £2k extra (other costs wont be that different ie depreciation)
Plus would you rarther have Honda build quality in an older car or a proper warently? I know Id go for the Renault ever time. People may rave about Honda but theyre not perfect.
Whilst I see what your saying since the limit on the roads where handling matter is 60mph you dont need to be lower. Howver we buy sporty Clio etc in the first place so we are willing to make a sacrifice after all a dci authenic Clio is fine for everyone and better for the environment so why...
I can see where your comming from.
I think the cup racers show what a true racing cup car should look like ie very low and people in there attempts to make there cars like Cup racer and to follow the normal obseration that lower = better low want there cars lower.
Lowering has the effect...
T indicates that theres a fault in the coolant system ie the coolent temp sensor has said there is ora wire has earthed.
If you want to find out how to fix it yourself PM me your emails address and Ill send you the fault finding chart.
The intake manifold mounting bolts should be tighened to 1.2 +- 0.2 daN.m
The Injectors support boltds (i imagine this is th one you achually want) is 2.1 +- 0.2 daN.m
PM me your email address and Ill send you the file on the engine.
Apart from stuff which had to be done Ive spend £757 on my car.
Almost £2.5k on fuel though
£5k on depreciation (thats lost rarther than spent I suppose)
£2130 on insurance /claims excess.
£200 interest on the loans
£158 on broken/worn bits.

£175 on track day costs...

Will the oil change and wipers etc be more on top of this? Yes unfortunatly
Do they wash the car also? Do not want them to as Ive just had it colour coded, dont want the...
Id sell the RT personally.
Having 2 cars has its advantage as the one car can be made of the job ie stripped etc but for the extra gains unless your doing tonnes of track days etc its not worth the extra cost.
1.2, 1.4 and 1.6 should be the same price to service (new Clios were on about here) since they do the same work on all models.
£220 is a rip of though I paid just under £100 and that was the list price.
They do very little for there money on the 18k service.
People think Im sad spending all me time on the net. But the lads at work are always ready to look at some messed up vids Ive downloaded.
Im not going to try and bother explaining about Cliosport its to much effort.
They rattle they can break down but youll always look back when you sell it and want another.
The issues with the car arnt huge and wouldnt ever put me off buying one. After all my parents have owned some expensive cars and had nothing put problems forget the idea that german /japanese are...
Personally I wouldnt unless your going to keep the car for 100k or so. Or you can get it done cheap and want to sell it private where it will look good to potential future buyers (its an easy way to choice between two identically priced cars one with more oil chnages than the other). You wont...
Theyll try and save the money IMO and keep the stock engine its not a problem realy why change it them will have fixed the problems and churning them out cheap enough anyway.
A whole new car is a potential problem you want to try and elliminate problems and cost as much as possible.
Im going...
Be very carful some companies give you very little back (Adrian flux/Highway are like this) most of them charge an administration fee which can account for a month of your cover anyway.
